Story
Little Lily has had a rough start to her life and is looking for an experienced adopter. Lily joined our rescue from South Texas where she was tied to a porch with her siblings for the first 1+ year of her life. For this reason, Lily didn't experience much as far as socializing with people, or getting out and about to see the world. Lily moved to foster care with older kids, other dogs, and cats, where she did really well. She transported to Boise and was adopted, but has had some struggles with her adoptive home and is seeking a better fit. Lily is extremely sensitive to sounds and gets scared easily, so she tends to be quite anxious. Lily's ideal home would have a confident older dog, and a quiet owner who is home often that would be willing to work with her anxious tendencies. Lily's adoption comes with a "Welcome Home Package" from A Pawsitive Alternative, which includes a consultation, training plan, and three weeks of assistance with the training plan. Lily loves to sleep on the bed, but she is crate trained as well. Her ideal new family will provide a lot of cuddles. Lily has an elevated pallet, she loves freeze dried salmon treats and is quick to learn with the right snacks. Lily is a sprinkler girl! She will run through them all day, and she loves a good car ride with the windows down. She loves other dogs and enjoys playing in the yard. If you're looking for a shadow dog, Lily is your girl! Overall Lily is a wonderful little dog that will make a great companion with the right family. Story
Friendly and resilient mama Alaska was found with her little pups and needed saving on the streets of Texas, where mama was starving and trying to take care of 7 babies. She has since been taken into foster care and is thriving, Miss Alaska has a medium energy level and would do well in most homes. Her favorite thing is lounging on the couch with her foster mom. She is fostered with several dogs of all sizes. She would be fine around respectful kids and would also love to have a doggie sibling as she loves to play! Whether it's gentle wrestling, or showing off her super fast running skills during a game of fetch, Alaska is the perfect balance between chill and play. She is quite scared of mice and bugs, but who can blame her?! Alaska has shown to have good recall on walks, and hikes in the foothills with her foster family. She is loyal and loving. Meet Denali! This sweet loving puppy is one of Alaska's babies who came to us in a time of need. Poor mama was found with her little pups and needed saving on the streets of Texas. These babies have been taken into foster care and are thriving, happy babies. They would love to be in a home with kids or other dogs to learn from and grow with.
