Story
Age: 1.0 year old Weight: 33 lbs Vet Record: 100% vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, male Meet Tim! This gentle and handsome pup is looking for a loving home and a family to call his own. Tim is incredibly affectionate and friendly with everyone—people, dogs, and cats! He is house-trained, doesn’t guard his food or space, and walks well on a leash. Tim loves playing with other dogs but can be a bit unsure around large, energetic ones. He’s very smart, food-motivated, and loves to please his human. Overall, Tim is just a really awesome dog! He would be a wonderful companion for a family with kids and/or another gentle, playful dog. If you're interested in adopting Tim, please fill out our adoption application, and we’ll be in touch! Story
Meet Mater, our beloved senior lab-hound mix. Anybody who's had the joy of meeting him will agree he is the complete opposite of a grumpy old man. Though he is 12 years old, his spirit is pure puppy. Mater is a hilarious, lovable goofball who adores everyone and thrives on having fun. He enjoys his walks, playing fetch, and burying his toys just to dig them up 5 minutes later pretending he found treasure. When summertime comes, give him a fenced-in yard and a kiddie pool, and you’ll witness pure joy—Mater goes absolutely crazy for water! In October 2021, shortly after arriving to us from North Carolina, Mater was briefly adopted but returned the next day. His adopters realized his playful puppy personality didn’t quite match his senior status. Mater is still working on potty training and learning which items are chew toys and which aren’t. However, with some patience and consistency, Mater has all the potential to improve and do great in the right home. Mater is looking for a home that fits his unique needs. For him, a fenced in yard is a must have, cats are a must NOT have, and an owner with patience and understanding is essential. He needs someone who can appreciate his big personality and guide him with love and structure. While Mater may be a special case, he’s also a special dog, and the love that he will bring is priceless. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will keep you laughing and fill your days with joy, Mater might just be the perfect fit!

Story
At Pets Alive, every dog surrender is a chance to discover and understand their unique needs, and help them find a home environment that will better suit them for a happier life. Pebbles is one of our longer term senior dogs, and has become a favorite among our staff. She has had a challenging past, which has made her cautious around new faces. Earning her trust takes time—she will need at least a couple of visits before she feels comfortable—but the reward is immeasurable. Once Pebbles lets you into her world, you’ll become her certified best friend for life! She’s an extremely loving little lady, and despite her old age, she still has quite the energy—especially when it involves treats, a walk, or a romp around the yard with her chosen people. Pebbles would thrive in a home with a single adult and no children. She needs a patient owner who understands her protective nature and is committed to helping her feel safe and secure. We’d love to see her live out her golden years with someone who can see the same potential our staff sees in her every day. She has so much to offer to the right person who’s willing to give her a chance. If Pebbles sounds like the right match for you and your household, we’d love to hear from you! Please dont hesitate to fill out an application if you’d like to know more.
