Story
Minnie is Still Waiting... Please Don`t Let Her Become Another Statistic.Just a few forgotten weeks ago, the internet was flooded with posts about Minnie, a sweet 2-year-old Coonhound who was allegedly enduring the most horrific abuse. The community rallied behind her, sending messages of love, support, and pleas for someone—anyone—to save her.We acted fast, pulled Minnie from that situation, and were relieved to discover the stories of the most horrific abuse were false. But what no one realizes is that Minnie is still in need of saving... not from abuse, but from a fate just as cruel: being left behind in a cold, sterile shelter, with no choice but to wait. Now, Minnie spends her days pacing, tossing and turning in a kennel that offers her no comfort, no home. She`s just waiting. Waiting for the person who promises to show her the world outside these walls. Waiting for the family who will love her, take her on walks, let her breathe in the fresh air, and experience the joy of belonging. She’s a 70-pound, gentle girl with so much love to give. All she wants is to make someone smile, to please, to share her excitement for life. Her eyes still sparkle when she’s outside, sniffing the air, but it’s heartbreaking knowing that the shelter is all she’s known for weeks. She can’t go on like this.Minnie deserves a chance. She deserves a home. She’s not a dog who will sit around for years waiting for the right person. She’s the kind of dog who wants to love you fiercely, to be your companion through thick and thin. But if no one steps forward now, she might just remain forgotten—another face in a sea of shelter dogs who never find the family they’ve been waiting for. Please, don’t let that be Minnie’s story. If you’re ready to give this sweet girl the love and care she craves, apply to meet her today. Her future is in your hands.Minnie is dog friendly, no cats. Apply here to meet Minnie: https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogs

Story
Rough and tumble guy looking for a forever home.  My perfect bestie wants to go hiking, swim in the pond, play ball or frisbee, and take long rides in the car.  I’m craving adventure as I’ve been here at rescue way too long and I’m soooo bored.  I like other dogs but please, I hate dog parties so don’t make me go. Kids are not a good idea for me because I’m a big active guy. No cats please because I am not a fan. Yes, I need a lot of activity and a large fenced yard is needed. I love to be outdoors and I know there is a country home out there with acres an acres just waiting for me. Apply for consideration to adopt me at www.rdrne.org. You must be at least 25 years of age, live within a 5-hour driving radius of Thompson PA. We check veterinary references and require all pets within the home to be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and maintained on heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. ##1323762##

Name: ArtNickname: Arty Party! Age: About 5 years oldPreferences: Good with dogs, good with kids, needs to be cat tested Hobbies: Talking to people, smelling new smells, snugglingFun fact: Art is what we jokingly call a long-haired coonhound. We aren`t sure what`s in his genes but boy did they make him handsome! He has Cocker spaniel looking ears, a fluffy tail, and the silkiest coat.Meet Art, a beautifully soulful coonhound mix with the gentlest demeanor and eyes that speak volumes. Found as a stray with severe dry skin, Art`s past hasn`t been easy, but he`s ready to paint a new, brighter picture with his loving personality.Art is a true masterpiece of a dog. He is housebroken and knows how to entertain himself, but don`t worry, he`ll always find time to sketch his way into your heart with plenty of affection. If you`re looking for a sweet, loving, cuddly companion to frame your life with joy, Art could be the perfect addition to your family!
