Story
Kelly is a one-year-old Cockapoo (cocker spaniel/poodle mix) with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right family to continue to help her gain confidence. She’s a small girl with a soft, curly coat and soulful eyes that tell the story of all she’s been through. Despite her rough start, she is incredibly resilient and ready to find a forever home where she can finally feel safe and cherished. Kelly has already been through so much in her short life. Before she was surrendered, she was bred, and her puppies took a lot out of her, leaving her in need of extra care and support. We’ve worked hard to help her regain her strength, and she has been spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She was in heat at the time of her spay and also had 2 of her baby teeth (Deciduous tooth extraction) extracted which meant additional anesthesia time. Like many Cockapoos, Kelly is intelligent, affectionate, and eager to form a deep bond with her people. However, due to her past, she is nervous when meeting new people and needs a little time to adjust. Once she knows she’s safe, her sweet and loving personality shines through. She gets along well with both dogs and cats, making her a great fit for a home with other pets. We’ve been crate, leash, and house training her, and she’s doing great! We will continue working with her until she finds a home of her own. Kelly just needs a family that will be patient, gentle, and willing to let her build trust at her own pace. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will reward you with unwavering loyalty and cuddles, Kelly might just be your perfect match. 🥰🐾 Located in Hesperia, CA. Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogBiography Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Shaggy, and I am a super sweet Cockapoo baby boy who was born on 10/15/24, and I weigh 7 pounds. I am very sweet and get along well with other dogs so a sibling to play with would be ideal.  If you have been waiting for a beautiful baby Cockapoo, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org.
