Story
Jordy's like a teenage boy who's yet to grow into his body, mixed with a linebacker who doesn't know his strength. He's hilarious and will tell you exactly why you need to be giving him your undivided attention (he's a bit of a typical bulldog demand barker- he's got A LOT to say;). And we've all heard that cute 'if I fits, I sits' quip. Well, forget the' fit' bit for this guy. He'll sit anyway and use whatever he wants to as a pillow. Jordy is currently living with another likeminded, couch potato dog, and we think this is a great fit for him. He'll sometimes pick up a toy, give it a few squeaks, and then immediately plod off to a bathroom somewhere to fall asleep sitting up on the bath mat. He's not necessarily going to be a play mate for a rowdy dog. Jordy also doesn't know what personal space is (except when he sometimes shuts the bathroom door to nap in peace...why are you so obsessed with him, foster mom...?) so his dog friend should be ok with him barnacle-ing himself to them during nap times.
Jordy isn't currently living with kids, and we think an adults only home is best for him. His bulldog communication can be intimidating for a little one, but this guy doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body (he's just a typical demand barker, on occasion, but not excessively). Also, Jordy has been known to pickup his bowl, boxes he finds lying around, and even a can of dog food to play with if he gets on a mischievous streak. So we think kids who might leave their toys lying around aren't a good fit for this reason, as well. Jordy has a pretty narrow trachea (common of really smushy bulldogs) so we recommend he stay on wet food and continue to eat from a raised bowl, like in his foster home. His forever family also needs to be very mindful of him in hot weather, which shouldn't be a problem because Jord doesn't want to go for walks or romp in the backyard anyway.
