Story
If you were to bottle up happiness and put it into a dog, that'd be me! I'm a total love whose eager to make new friends of all shapes and sizes. When I go out for my walks, I have to stop everyone in the hallway to make sure they say hello to me! I like cats, I like dogs, and I love people. Unfortunately, my background is a bit of a mystery and has left me with some issues. I have masses present in both of my ears, my skin wasn't well taken care of, and the folds of my face were left very dirty. With the love and care from staff and vets, I'm on the mend! While the simple stuff is being taken care of now, my ears are going to be a longer process to figure out. I barely even notice it's an issue, however, I'm still as happy as can be!I'd do well just about anywhere as long as you're prepared to love me 24/7. I don't take breaks - I need snuggles all the time!

Story
Meet Jeremy, an approximately 6-year-old bundle of sweetness who melts hearts wherever he goes! This charming boy has an incredible love for everyone—whether they’re humans big or small, or furry friends of all kinds. Jeremy is truly the life of the party, a guaranteed hit wherever his paws take him.Jeremy hails from Meadow Wood, where he tragically lost his beloved owner. While his backstory remains a bit of a mystery, one thing is crystal clear: he’s a treasure. Currently thriving in foster care, his foster family can’t stop singing his praises.Jeremy is set to bring his joy and cuddles to New England on January 4th. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will adore you unconditionally, Jeremy might just be your perfect match!Would you like to meet him?The Memphis rescue community recently lost a beloved member, Suzy of Meadow Wood Rescue, who dedicated her life to saving countless needy dogs. Following her passing, fellow rescuers have stepped in to ensure her personal dogs and rescues find loving homes. With a three-month timeline to transition these dogs, we’re focusing on rehoming her senior dogs—the ones most in need and missing their mom deeply.Name: Jeremy MeadowoodBreed: English Bull Dog/American Bully = adorable mutt - could be anythingSex: MaleAge: 6 years  (estimated)Weight: 63.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12 for now until we testGood with Dogs: LovesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $350.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:   New England as of 1/4IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced.IMPORTANT INFORMATIONPaws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Story
Shutterbug is a 11 month-old, male, Bulldog mix who has spent FAR too long waiting for his chance at a forever home. It’s really hard to understand why this bright, affectionate pup is still in the shelter. Growing up in a cage is no life for any dog, especially one that loves people as much as Shutterbug. This clever boy is sharp, easily picks up new skills, and is eager to please. He’s a pro on a leash and loves exploring, making him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys walks or outdoor adventures. While Shutterbug has shown he can be selective with some dogs, a few meet-and-greets can help ensure a smooth transition and a perfect fit if you have other dogs at home. Fully vaccinated, neutered, and ready for his happy ending, Shutterbug deserves a life beyond the shelter walls. Please consider giving this wonderful pup the chance he’s been waiting for and he will pay you back with endless love. *PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STRINGENT OUT OF STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE NOW ONLY ADOPTING TO RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS*. We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, due to past issues with landlords/housing/insurance, a restricted breed policy is in place for Bully breed/Pit Bull type dogs. This means that you must own your home and provide proof of homeownership to adopt a Bully breed/Pit Bull dog or puppy. While we understand that this may be an inconvenience, it is necessary to help reduce the number of devastated dogs being returned. We apologize for the inconvenience. Story
FOSTER ONLY! CROSSVILLE, TENNESSEE. So...our Bulldog, Barbara, since coming to rescue in August, has been a mess of medical problems. Two days before Christmas we learned that our efforts have been in vain. She's just not ever gonna get better. She was,of course, heart worm positive. Her chest has been full of fluid & the hope was that once those were treated, that fluid would cease to accumulate, thus, improving her breathing & long-term quality of life. Her repeat chest X-ray was worse than the prior four.Killing her heart worms did not help, but it was still absolutely needed & somehow, l'm sure she's healthier for it. The Doc suspects pulmonary hypertension. We got an estimate for an EKG & ECHO, but it's not needed. It would be for information purposes only & would not change the outcome. Barbara is a hospice pup now & we will provide every comfort measure we can. That being said, there is one, perhaps the most important, comfort I can not give her at the rescue. Barbara loves her kennel but I don't want her to die in it. It's a big ask because Barbara, in spite of her poor health, is still a badass Bulldog & she does not suffer fools easily.Especially the furry, four-legged kind. Who knows? Let's put it out there & see what happens. #foccasrescue would continue to cover any cost for her care & support her foster in every way needed.Looking for a foster only! Crossville, Tennessee!
