FELIZ NAVIDAD FROM FIZZIE, an adorable 3-year-old Bulldog who needs a forever home! Fizzie was rescued from a crowded California shelter and now is in a foster home in Bothell, Wash. She is a beautiful white & merle girl who loves human attention and affection. Like many bulldogs, she prefers people to other dogs, and so should be the only dog in the home. And no cats, please! Fizzie is a snugglebug, and she loves, loves, loves balls & toys, and can self-entertain. Anyone who loves bulldogs will adore Fizzie! Please email for an application. Medusa, our 2 year old Bulldog mix, is a certified beefcake (we looked up what the female version of "beefcake" is and the internet suggested "cheesecake". Gross. Sticking with beefcake). We're sure 50 of her 56 pounds is pure muscle. The rest is rolls of smooshy skin. She's certainly one of the coolest looking dogs we know, and Medusa has the personality to match. We're so excited to find this deserving dog a home. Our local shelter asked us to help Medusa after she'd been surrendered while heavily pregnant. She contracted pneumonia and was really sick. We got her into foster just in time to give birth to 3 healthy puppies. Medusa is an A+ mom. Now that everyone is healthy and the puppies are old enough to find their homes, Medusa is ready too. The person who surrendered Medusa thought she was a boxer mix. But, a DNA test donated by her foster family revealed that Medusa is actually a Bulldog American Staffordshire Terrier mix. So that's how she got all that beef. Despite her muscley tough looking exterior, Medusa is more marshmallow than anything. She's incredibly friendly and affectionate and could spend all afternoon spooning on the couch. When not busy cuddling, Medusa is really playful. She loves fetch and leaps through the air like a border collie. Medusa is crate trained and does well on the leash. She's good with other dogs and has been good with the cat in her foster home (although she occasionally wants to chase him. A dog-savvy cat would be best). Medusa is potty trained, quiet and not destructive. Although she's very sweet, she's also very strong, so we recommend kids over 10 in her home. Medusa is heartworm negative and current on her flea and heartworm preventatives. AI also suggested that a muscular woman could be called a "governator". See, AI isn't so bad. Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows 'sit', 'stay', 'heel' and 'come', and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Asher is one of two males from a Northern Utah shelter that are new to rescue. He and his brother came in as strays and both are estimated to be 1-2yrs old. He is a silly, playful guy. He is also skittish and unsure of new things but is coming along nicely and learning that living in a house is quite fantastic as opposed to roaming the streets.
