Story
Harley is a very goofy girl who is amazing with all of our staff members. She is a treat-eating machine! One of her favourite things is getting butt rubs, though she also enjoys playing with her food puzzles. She does like to go for walks, but is generally pretty lazy and enjoys lounging. There have been instances of resource guarding with dogs and strangers, so she would do best in a home with no children or other pets. Harley is very loyal to her people and will become your shadow if you give her a chance!

Story
Mackey was rescued after a life of living outside all alone. This powerhouse is such a fun loving boy! Mackey does not trust new people easily but with a proper introduction and lots of time, he learns to share his things and give affection. Once comfortable with his people, he listens well and is bouncy and playful. Mackey will need an experienced adult family to manage his resource guarding and teach him how to live in a house. Mackey is very intelligent and has learned many different ways to control these behaviors. He will need continued practice with muzzle training for vet visits and boundaries in the home to control his resource guarding. With clear guidance and reward for desired behavior, Mackey can easily learn to live in a home. Mackey has a high prey drive which makes him aggressive towards small dogs and wildlife. He will need lots of control on walks, distance away from all dogs, constant obedience training and positive reinforcement to keep him in a good mindset and paying attention to his owner. Mackey would do best in a house with a fully fenced yard.

Story
Hello! My name is Ferdinand!I`m a friendly boy who enjoys meeting new people. I`m a slow walker because unfortunately I wasn`t bred to have the best posture. I`m a pretty chill guy who likes to just hang out. I`m looking for a home that is experienced with my breed and prepared for any medical concerns that may arise as a result. MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Yes, mature and respectful children who will be gentle with me.OTHER DOGS: Potentially, with a senior, calm dog who is indifferent to me.CATS: Potentially, with a cat experienced with dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Yes, if you are knowledgeable about my breed and the potential medical commitment that comes with it.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessary.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any, though a home where a lot of daily stair use is required is not ideal.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low. HOUSE-TRAINED: No, I will benefit from frequent outings to get me on track. If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the `adopt me` button to apply!

Meet the handsome McFly! Named for the classic, Marty McFly, from Back to the Future. This McFly is on his own epic journey, searching for his very own forever home! McFly is your typical bully mix, full of beans and super sweet with his people. This adorable pup is sure to win over your heart with his good looks and sweetheart personality. McFly loves to be outdoors and would love a family that will include him in their outdoor activities. He would be a great hiking buddy! He also loves car rides and will make a great companion for all your adventures. McFly is one smart cookie! He already knows a few commands and even takes his treats gently. What a good boy! He is crate trained and does not bark in the crate, though he will bark sometimes when playing. He is still learning some leash manners as he can pull but he would likely respond well to consistent positive reinforcement training to help him be a star at walking on leash. Initially McFly was quite fearful but has improved with time and has become less so. He seems to be a bit wary of strangers and new people. He would benefit from a home that would help build his confidence and become more comfortable with handling and new people. McFly has shown some reactivity towards other dogs as he has reacted back when other dogs have barked and lunged at him. He has done better around more neutral dogs. With the right family, McFly will flourish into a truly amazing dog! If McFly sounds like the perfect fit for you, please submit a Canine application: covetedcanines.org/application
