Story
Let's just talk about this girl for a minute. She was living in someone's yard and can you imagine no one from that house was feeding her 😡 Never abused but mostly definitely shown no love whatsoever . Which is why she's " shy" hence the name SHY! But she's shy in all the best ways. Not fearful shy or aggressive in any way! She's submissive . She lives with other dogs in fact, she goes to doggy daycare! Everyone there loves her . She's so grateful for love and affection she will never stop showing you her gratitude with lots of long naps snuggling and wet sloppy kisses. Shy is kennel trained and house trained . Very gentle and respectful of kids. Currently, she's in a foster home in Memphis, Tennessee, Tennessee. Once an application has been submitted and approved, her foster family would love to speak with you about her. Once adopted, she will travel on one of two transports to the Midwest or the north east. Transport leaves Memphis Tennessee every Friday morning and travels as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. Story
Bailey is an adorable 7-1/2 year old female English Bulldog who was surrendered by her owner on December 27, 2023 because she did not get along the other dogs in family's home. This little sweetheart has a snow white coat, a broad chest, a tiny docked tail, and a beautiful Bulldog face with dark brown eyes, teeny white eyelashes,short ears, a black button nose, and a classic short, broad, 'upward-turned' muzzle. Bailey is listed as a 'Special Needs Dog' since she is hearing impaired/deaf. Bailey has a sweet, easygoing personality with her people friends and was a pleasure to photograph when HSOV Humane Officer Fredley Tynan accompanied her for outdoor glamour pictures late in the afternoon on August 2nd. Bailey may look familiar to many of our volunteers (and Facebook fans) since she had been brought to the HSOV on August 2, 2023 and was adopted on August 29, 2023. So Bailey spent four months in her adoptive home. Bailey weighs 48 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. She has already been spayed. Her adopted family reported that Bailey does not do well with young children but is fine with older children. Bailey is not good with other dogs or cats. She is protective of her food bowl and does NOT tolerate having her nails trimmed. Bailey has been kept indoors and is housetrained. She is crate-trained and was kept indoors in a crate during the night. Bailey spent time in her fenced-in yard for exercise (and she enjoys being a lap dog). Bailey does well being bathed, and she loves to ride in a car. Bailey is currently in foster care. She is available for meet-and-greet and/or adoption with an approved HSOV adoption application.

BasilMaleAge: 11.5 yearsWeight: 60 lbsBreed: English Bulldog/Beagle Mix Hey there, I’m Basil. I am a happy and loving guy who would do best in a home without other dogs or kids. I really don’t have much interest in cats, so a home with cats would be just fine.  I am crate trained, but don’t need to be in a crate when you are gone. I am house trained, but I do wear a wrap inside since I am a senior gentleman. I do well on a leash too (I do pull some with excitement, but my harness helps Immensely). I love to wander around the backyard, travel with my human, take naps with my human or just nap by myself on a comfy bed or sofa. My foster mom says I am soulful and loving and I just want to be your best friend. I would love to be with you as much as possible. I also love a good bone, all the treats and a stuffed Kong. I am also on renal support prescription dogfood that will need to continue in my new home and I have a heart murmur that will need monitored yearly (and is common for my breed), but neither of these slow me down. I can’t wait to find my own forever family who will show me all the love and attention I deserve.  If you are interested in meeting Basil apply at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $225 Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older.
