Luis is an energetic, super social 2 year old, 39 lb. dog who came to us as a stray. We noticed right away that Luis didn’t seem to need much time to adjust—this outgoing pup made friends on his very first day! We’re not sure why, but Luis’ big heart and joyous personality hasn’t helped him find his forever home. After a month in the shelter, he is at high risk of behavioral decline and kennel stress and urgently needs to leave the shelter with an adopter or rescue partner who can provide him with lots of exercise, attention and all the love and fun he deserves! Luis contracted an upper respiratory infection during his stay in the shelter, but has been taking his medication and is out of isolation. Otherwise, he appears to be a healthy dog at this time with the possible exception of his ability to sniff out and enjoy a remarkable, slightly unnerving, number of hot dogs. Luis has had a good dog meet in the shelter and may enjoy a canine companion to burn off some energy. While he is a good-natured and friendly dog, at this time he would do best in a home without young children given his puppy-like and exuberant behaviors and one observed instance of possible guarding over toys. 2 years old - good with dogs , older kids and not sure about cats. Meet Moo Shu!This adorable smush face is a happy friendly guy who has been loving all the attention from staff and volunteers and is sure to make you laugh with his goofy mannerisms. He's a 7.5 year old English Bulldog, a bit thin at 35lbs. Moo Shu is very good natured, but a bit of a hot mess medically, suffering from many common bulldog ailments. He hadn't been to a vet in many years and calm to us with itchy infected skin and ears, as well as very large cherry eyes. He's had surgery to repair the eyes, and he's being a good boy for his ear treatments and medicated baths and feeling much better. He is looking for experienced bulldog lovers who understands their high maintenance medical needs longterm and will stay on top regular vet visits. Luna was placed with me to help find a new forever home. She has been with previous owner since she was a pup but baby number 2 is on the way and Luna didn’t adjust wheel to the first baby. Luna DOB is 10/22/2017. She would do best in a household with older children who respect the boundaries of a dog and adults. It is clear Luna was loved but then she had to entertain her self. She loves to play ball and brings it back to you for you to throw again! She can do this for hours !!! Still warming up to me being affectionate to her I feel she just hasn’t had affection in a long time! Luna was trained as a puppy has no issues in the home and LOVES her crate! She finds comfort in laying in it. She has not been socialized at all so if introducing to another dog you need a person who is used to taking the proper time and proper way to introduce. I do feel Luna be would thrive in a home being the only dog. She is dying for all the attention she can get!

I sat in a kill shelter for as long as I can remember with a shattered pelvis and both of my hips broken. I couldn't even stand. I sat there for months and finally, my time was up. I didn't even have any pain meds, but I had so much love to give. Every time a shelter employee came by, I wiggled in hopes of getting a moment of their affection. I adore human love! The only thing that got me through it was thinking of a forever home. I got rescued just in time and went straight to a vet for surgery. Now, I have brand new hips and am back to the wiggle butt I was born to be! I am still waiting for my forever home though. Won't you please consider letting me dance around with you and show you all the love I have to offer? I am a HUGE KISSER and love to give smooches of gratitude all day long. I love other dogs, just ones that are really rambunctious scare me a bit, so I feel safer around more relaxed pups. I love toys and have so much fun throwing them around the yard.
