Can you help us, help DUKE? Duke was doing well at a local animal shelter. He was loved and well-cared-for by the staff. They came in Monday morning and he was flat... It was clear Duke was very sick. Duke was rushed to the emergency hospital where they diagnosed him with aspiration pneumonia. This is a big expense for a small town shelter! The Union Township Animal Shelter reached out for help, and CH Boxer Rescue immediately stepped up. Earlier today Duke transferred to the care of Cameron Animal Hospital. This pretty little English Bulldog girl is called Natasha and she is guessed to be 8 years or a little more, and weighs 42 lb. She was found at a construction site wandering as a stray in a small town in Middle Tennessee. The people that found her couldn't believe that such a sweet girl could possibly be lost. After posts were made on Facebook and social media, no one ever came forward to claim her. The shelter was full at her small town and the people that found her just could not take her there even if it could accept her. She's too special. This little girl is recovering from a former flea infestation and has some patches on her back that are missing hair but growing hair back now. She's got the normal senior hip arthritis and needs some pain meds from time to time and some good joint medicine will help a great deal. Her teeth are good, her eyesight is fine and her sweet personality is over the top of the chart. She's affectionate with everyone and oh so sweet. We have found her to be good with other dogs and housebroken. We have not tried her with cats, but she seems to have the personality that would be loving and welcoming to all creatures that she meets. She walks a little slower as can be expected at her age, but she exudes a gratitude for having been given a place to stay. As they always say, a rescue dog will always let you know that they appreciate what you have done for them. With Natasha you can see it in her eyes and her spirit. She is a joy that someone needs to have in their life. If you understand the Bulldog breed, then you will be happy to know that this is a rare girl to be offered. She's healthy and all other ways except a little arthritis and missing a little bit of hair. Natasha is special and we are looking for that very special person or family to adopt her. She was living in someone's yard and can you imagine no one from that house was feeding her 😡 Never abused but mostly definitely shown no love whatsoever . Which is why she's " shy" hence the name SHY! But she's shy in all the best ways. Not fearful shy or aggressive in any way! She's submissive . She lives with other dogs in fact, she goes to doggy daycare! Everyone there loves her . She's so grateful for love and affection she will never stop showing you her gratitude with lots of long naps snuggling and wet sloppy kisses. Shy is kennel trained and house trained . Very gentle and respectful of kids. Currently, she's in a foster home in Memphis, Tennessee, Tennessee. Once an application has been submitted and approved, her foster family would love to speak with you about her. Once adopted, she will travel on one of two transports to the Midwest or the north east. Luna was placed with me to help find a new forever home. She has been with previous owner since she was a pup but baby number 2 is on the way and Luna didn’t adjust wheel to the first baby. Luna DOB is 10/22/2017. She would do best in a household with older children who respect the boundaries of a dog and adults. It is clear Luna was loved but then she had to entertain her self. She loves to play ball and brings it back to you for you to throw again! She can do this for hours !!! Still warming up to me being affectionate to her I feel she just hasn’t had affection in a long time! Luna was trained as a puppy has no issues in the home and LOVES her crate! She finds comfort in laying in it. She has not been socialized at all so if introducing to another dog you need a person who is used to taking the proper time and proper way to introduce. I do feel Luna be would thrive in a home being the only dog. She is dying for all the attention she can get!

A while back someone finally noticed poor Neve. She spent two or more years living on the streets of Texas near a junkyard. Sadly, local men in the area used her over and over again for breeding. They would then take and sell her pups leaving Neve there to fend for herself. Neve is now safe and in foster in the northeast. Her foster shares the pix below how Neve carries her stuffies from place to place, as she would have cared for her pups… Neve is about 3 yrs old. She is calm, likes to nap, is an excellent co pilot in the car and a great companion for a home looking for their next love… Ideally, Neve would love to be an only child. She is indifferent to other dogs and cats but deserves a home of her own with all she has been thru. She has so much love to offer and shows all the behaviors of a grateful rescue dog who is happy for any and all love she receives.
