Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Brief Description: This is "Pudge." What you see is what you get...easy going, calm, well...lazy. :) Likes: Being a couch potato, chewing on Nylabones, eating, sleeping...he's a guy with simple pleasures. Dislikes: Having is nails clipped. Having to wait more than 30 seconds for his food when it's being prepared. Personality: Calm. Chill. Quiet (except when food is being prepared for him). Can be stubborn! Temperament: Laid back. Not much upsets or excites Pudge. Energy level: None. Favorite activities: EATING! Watching TV on the couch with his human while he chews a bone. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: Cats: unknown; Dogs: great - no issues; Kids: unknown but suspect he would be absolutely fine. Haven't found anything so far Pudge isn't good with. He doesn't particularly care to have his nails clipped or baths but he tolerates both. House trained: Working on it and making good progress. It is uncertain where Pudge came from and/or if he's ever been house trained so, therefore, he was started from scratch and he's come a long way. With a consistent schedule and time to adjust he should do well. Crate trained: YES! Pudge loves his crate. Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence?): No. Walks well on a leash?: When he wants to. Pudge doesn't pull or fight. He just won't walk with his human if it's not where he wants to go. Been working on that and he's doing much better. Challenges: Getting him to socialize more with people and pets. Pudge mostly keeps to himself. He is starting to make attempts to play with the other dogs and humans here and there but needs encouragement. Pudge will need lots of encouragement to get any exercise. Any medical issues?:  Pudge is currently being treated for a persistent skin infection secondary to suspected allergies. He is much improved from when he first arrived. Pudge has recovered well from recent bilateral entropion. Eye irritation and drainage is markedly decreased since the surgery. Pudge has been on a long-term antibiotic treatment and, as a result, he has been having persistent soft stools, however, it's been controlled with feeding Science Diet I/D food and Pepto-Bismol. What would be the best kind of home?:  Pudge would be perfectly happy to be an only dog getting all the attention lavished upon him; however, he is also fine with the other dogs in the household. Pudge is ideal for someone who wants a calm, easy going companion. He is not a hiking, running, or hunting dog by any means.  Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Story
Foster or Adopt Oliver Blu! He's around 3 years old with plenty of love and spunk to give. Snorty, shorty Oliver B is looking for a home. Once you meet him you know this special lil gremlin won't last long with our rescue. For a medium sized bully guy he has the head of cane corso and the paws to match. His stocky body is always in state of constant wiggly motion trying to soak up all the pets he can get. When he opens his mouth to smile (or breathe) you can see all his pearly whites and his extra long tongue, it's giving Gene Simmons vibes.? OB is as sweet as they come! Don't like walking much? Well neither does OB! He's more content being your lap dog and at about 50 lbs he's the excellent cuddle buddy size. Oliver is loving playing ball, in short spurts of course. He is crate trained, housebroken and quiet. He looks for every sunny spot to take frequent naps. While he’s not reactive to seeing other dogs, he’s not completely comfortable around them either. For this reason, we would like to place him as an only pet. Older kids would be ideal for this sweet guy. He would be great for someone who isn’t super active, lives in an apartment or is looking for some company. This chocolate boy wants nothing more than a home and a family to love him. To foster or adopt Oliver Blu please fill out an application at pittiesandpals.com.

Story
Penelope is a sweet  9-year-old lady who weighs in at a solid 31 pounds of pure love. Found as a stray and brought to the NYC ACC, Penelope went to her foster home where she ha been an angel. Penelope is a true couch potato. She LOVES cuddling on the couch, getting belly rubs, and simply hanging out with her people. If there's one thing she loves, it’s a good pet or scritchShe’s a low-energy dog who enjoys short walks (especially on the way back home when breakfast is in sight!) and is completely content to relax and nap the day away. Penelope’s personality is as sweet as can be. She is calm, loving, and just a joy to be around. She’s friendly with everyone she meets, whether it's the people she bumps into on her walks or guests who come to visit her home. While she’s not too interested in playing, she’s perfectly fine with other dogs and is gentle and non-aggressive. She’s also very chill around children, having met a few in the elevator with no issues. Penelope is still getting the hang of potty training, but she’s making great progress and is learning to hold it until she’s outside. She’s also crate trained, sleeping peacefully in her crate overnight with no accidents. Penelope’s ideal home would be with a family that enjoys quiet time and cuddles. She’d do best with people who are home often and are looking for a laid-back companion to share their life with. She’s not the type of dog who’s going to demand long walks or hours of playtime, but she’ll fill your days with love, affection, and endless cuteness! ##2253806##
