Foster or Adopt Oliver Blu! He's around 3 years old with plenty of love and spunk to give. Snorty, shorty Oliver B is looking for a home. Once you meet him you know this special lil gremlin won't last long with our rescue. For a medium sized bully guy he has the head of cane corso and the paws to match. His stocky body is always in state of constant wiggly motion trying to soak up all the pets he can get. When he opens his mouth to smile (or breathe) you can see all his pearly whites and his extra long tongue, it's giving Gene Simmons vibes.? OB is as sweet as they come! Don't like walking much? Well neither does OB! He's more content being your lap dog and at about 50 lbs he's the excellent cuddle buddy size. Oliver is loving playing ball, in short spurts of course. He is crate trained, housebroken and quiet. He looks for every sunny spot to take frequent naps. While he’s not reactive to seeing other dogs, he’s not completely comfortable around them either. For this reason, we would like to place him as an only pet. Older kids would be ideal for this sweet guy. He would be great for someone who isn’t super active, lives in an apartment or is looking for some company. This chocolate boy wants nothing more than a home and a family to love him. Penny came to rescue when she needed a break from the shelter. Penny is a 2-4 year old Pit/Bulldog mix who spent the first part of her life having puppies for a backyard breeder. This girl is super sweet and loves to be with people. She just needs to find a forever of her own. She loves kids but should be with kids that are a little older as she is super active and strong. She also loves to play with other dogs and is currently fostered in a home with other dogs but Penny says no cats. Penny would also love to take walks with you and does really well on a leash. Give this sweetheart her happy ending This sweet, brave girl endured so much as a young pup. At 6 months old, Thelma and her sister, Louise, were abandoned in a field. Fortunately, locals fed them, and when Thelma was about to give birth this April, both were trapped and brought into a home for safety. She gave birth to 11 puppies, 9 of whom were alive. After such a difficult time, it’s no surprise that when Thelma's foster family took her in, she was scared to get close to them, somewhat skittish, and a bit wary of men. With time, however, she learned that people were capable of giving love and affection, as well as providing food—all of which she deserves in abundance—so she became more comfortable and even excited to see them. By now, at about a year and a half, Thelma feels secure with her foster mom, and although she’s still slightly wary of men, she’s warmed up to her foster dad nicely. She hasn’t been around many kids, but when she was, all went ok. Thelma does great with other dogs—both males and females, regardless of age. In fact, she’d likely thrive in a home with another dog. She also gets along well with nearby feline friends. As Thelma continues to come out of her shell, other aspects of her personality are shining! She has a playful side (fetch is a fave), and she’s a smart cookie (it didn’t take her long to learn to use the doggy door). If she’s really excited to see you, there’s a slight chance she’ll jump on you, but we’re working on that, and it’s only to give you a kiss. And despite her rough beginnings, this little girl is super-sweet and low maintenance. Thelma has so much to give a forever family, but she’ll need 2 things in return: unconditional love and patience. Because of her past, it might take this sweetie-pie a little while to fully trust you…but once she does, an incredible bond will be borne. We assure you, this precious girl is absolutely worth the wait.
