Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi, I’m Bell, a 7-year-old, 50-pound English Bulldog with a big heart and an even bigger personality! I’m a sweet girl who loves nothing more than lounging at home and playing fetch or keep-away with my favorite balls. I may be a bit older, but I’m still full of energy and love to stay active! I’m totally potty trained and do well with crate time, though sometimes I’ll bark if I don’t get my way. I also need daily eye drops, but I’m good about taking them. I prefer a quieter, adult-only home since busy places and small kids make me nervous. I do best as an only dog so I can get all your attention. We can Netflix and chill on the couch and I promise to be your bestest friend and loyal companion. Foster mom says I’ll keep you laughing all day long with my bulldog antics and hey, we can check out the world.  I am leash trained and like to go for short walks. Listen, I may not be the fastest or most fit, but I can keep up! At home, I’m super affectionate with the adults I trust, and I love snuggling on the couch—yep, I’m a big lap dog! I’m happy going on leash walks for potty breaks and exercise, so I don’t need a fenced yard. If you’re looking for a special Bulldog who just wants to be your best friend and play fetch, I’m your girl! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    * **Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, I’m Carbon! I’m a happy, happy English bulldog! I was in a shelter down in Texas and thanks to some bulldogs loving people, made my way up to Underdog! I had horrible cherry eyes and had surgery on those and lemme tell ya seeing well sure is fun.  Now, I’m a healthy guy and can’t wait to find my forever. I’m what they call a bowling ball of a bulldog. I’m either napping - or ready to party. Everything is so fun - eating, treats, bones, walks a you name it I’m game to check it out and will probably love it. I’d love to enroll in a Basic Obedience class with you and learn some manners. I have no ill intent, but the humans tell me I need to learn “sit” “leave it” and “off” and that it would make me a more well mannered guy. I can get mouthy when excited, never biting, but when I get excited I try to put something in my mouth.  I love pleasing the humans in my house and making them laugh. They do that a lot - laughing at my silly antics. I’m do great on leash and love going for walks. I enjoy meeting new friends - both humans and dogs. Potty training is still something we’re working on, but together I know we’ll master together. I’m crate trained, but may bark in there for a few minutes, but do settle down and sleep in there overnight or while you’re away. After a good play session, I love a good dog bed to snooze away on. My ideal forever home would have older kids I can’t knock over - sorry to the little ones. I’m sure we’d be great friends, I just don’t know my size.  I’m good with non alpha dogs, but would love to be an only dog, too! If you do have another dog that likes to romp and roll and play, that would be fun! Some pups don’t appreciate my excited play and then they don’t want to be friends - which is confusing to me, but I’m learning so much!  if you’re ready for a fun loving, excited guy to check out the world with, fill out a Bulldog App and let’s meet! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Ginkel is a two-year-old English Bulldog with a heart as big as his appetite—he’s always hungry and will happily remind you when it’s snack time! At 45 pounds, this stocky guy is a perfect mix of lazy and lovable. Ginkel’s favorite pastimes include napping on the couch, lounging around the house, and enjoying a good chew on a bone. While he gets along well with other dogs, he’s independent and perfectly happy being your one-and-only furry companion. He’s not the most playful pup, but he makes up for it with his expert-level snuggling skills and friendly personality. Ginkel loves people and is a pro at making new friends, but due to his strength and enthusiasm, he would do best in a home without small children. He’s crate trained, sleeps soundly in his crate at night, and is fully house trained. He’s also great on a leash and enjoys leisurely walks.  If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion who loves food, naps, and spending time with his humans, Ginkel might just be your perfect match. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. *Bulldogs are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure the breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average bulldog owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs.  Bulldo gs are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for bulldogs usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Bulldog Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the bulldog. Our goal is place bulldogs in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the bulldog, we will not approve your application.  ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. This gal and brothers were found on the side of the road. This is a wonderful group! They do not bark unless playing and just like to have a fun time! They are very friendly and get along with everyone. Yuki has a little spark in her from having to deal with her brothers all of the time. She is very sweet but can hold her own when needed. They will need all the basic puppy training with everything that comes with it. She is a wonderful pup who would make a great addition to any family. She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Name: Plonker Breeds: American Bully/ English Bulldog Mix Age: Adult Sex: Male Size: Large (65 lbs) Plonker is a big boy with a big head and a big heart. He isn’t the sharpest tack and really embodies the joke “big head, no thoughts” but he makes up for it in heart. Plonker is friendly to everyone, goofy, loves butt scratches, and loves to flop out snoozing with his stumpy back legs behind him like a little frog. He is housetrained (though off the bat will need a belly band since he is a leg lifter), crates well for the workday, and minds his manners in the house. He loves bones and toys, happily waddles all around for walks, and then snores like a freight train relaxing. He is good with other dogs and loves all people though the littler kids get bowled over when he plays because he has no idea he is big. He will shamelessly sit in anyone’s lap! Plonker is about 2 years old. Requirements: No special requirements Adoption Fee: $650 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 6 months of age, deworming, microchip and current preventatives Interested in adopting? Story
Biloxi is a female 8 year old English bulldog. My husband and I purchased her from an in home breeder in Iowa. It was clear from the very beginning that Biloxi needs to be in household with NO other pets. We worked with her, behavioral therapists, and a three month stint at Neumann K-9 Academy where she lived at the training facility. She has never shown any aggression towards people whatsoever. However, our son was born five years ago and while she has never been aggressive in any way shape or form, it is apparent she is very jealous. I am extremely confident this behavior would cease in an environment where she is the alpha animal and center of attention for a new owner. We do not take this decision lightly and after much thought have come to the conclusion that everyone, most importantly, Biloxi will be happier and healthier in a new arrangement.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Clove – The Sweet, Sassy Bulldog! Clove is a bulldog with a personality as charming as her name! This affectionate girl is a fun mix of sweet and sassy, guaranteed to make you smile every day. She adores snuggling, playing fetch, and tug-of-war with squeaky toys – and yes, she thinks she’s a lapdog! What Clove Brings to the Table: Commands Superstar: She knows sit, lay down, down, stay (still a work in progress), kennel up, and come (when she feels like it – what a diva!). Treat Champion: She takes treats gently and loves all the praise that comes with it. Loves to Play: Whether it’s a game of tug or chasing after a toy, she’s all in! Clove’s Fun Quirks and Progress: Not a Fan of the Cold: She enjoys the great outdoors but would prefer a warm snuggle on chilly days. Loves to howl along with sirens on TV and is a fan of Nicki Minaj. House-Trained in Progress: She’s almost there and catching on fast with only a couple of accidents. Crate-Trained: Clove adjusts well to her crate with just a little initial whining (background music seems to help her relax). Still Polishing Skills: She’s working on leash manners (pulls when she’s excited), jumping up, and severe stranger danger around men and some dogs. She needs ongoing socialization and training to help her shine even brighter and very slow intros when placed in situations around men or dogs.   Medication:  Clove is on anti-anxiety meds to assist with her wariness around new or strange things. Click here , here , here , here and here to take a peek into Clove’s sweet personality. Her Ideal Family: Clove would thrive with a single woman who’s looking for a loving and loyal companion. Her best match will have no young children or other pets, though she might warm up to dog siblings with time and proper introductions. She’s curious about cats but doesn’t always know her own strength, so feline friends might need supervision. With patience, love, and continued training, Clove will become the most amazing partner in crime you could ask for. She warms up quickly to people she trusts and loves to know what her humans are up to. Once she’s by your side, she’s all in! Are you ready to make Clove a part of your life? This sweet, stubborn bulldog is sure to steal your heart!  Clove is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi, I’m Malaga! I’m a 6-year-old French Bulldog with a heart as big as my adorable squishy face. I weigh in at a solid 28 lbs of love and snuggles. I’m the kind of pup who’s all about those quiet moments—like laying by your feet, getting ear rubs, and enjoying all the attention (I’m a bit of a professional snuggler). But don’t let my calm demeanor fool you—I can still get a little spunky when it’s time to wrestle with my canine pals or tear apart a squeaky toy. (Squeakers are the best, don’t you think?) I’m a gentle soul who’s working on building trust with my humans. Once we’re BFFs (which I’m sure we will be), I’ll be your shadow, following you around and soaking up all your love. But, I’ll admit, it takes me a little time to warm up to new people, so I need a family that’s patient and understanding. The best part? Once I trust you, I’ll want to be by your side forever. I’m super friendly with other dogs—especially if they’re fellow Frenchies! But, honestly, I’m down to hang with any doggo. I’m a submissive gal, so I get along with all personalities, big or small. I even love cats! I just ignore them and mind my own business. Now, I do have a few preferences in my forever home: I’m not really a fan of kids or loud commotion. It stresses me out, but I promise I’m never aggressive—I’m just a little skittish. Older kids who are calm around me are okay, though! I love walks (so much) and am a pro at walking nicely on a leash. I even walk right next to the curb like a well-mannered lady! When I’m not out and about, you can find me napping in a comfy dog bed or chewing on a bone (seriously, bones are life). But my absolute favorite hobby? Ripping apart stuffed toys to get that squeaker out. It’s like a little treasure hunt for me, and I’m a very determined digger! I’m potty trained (I’ll give you a little look when I need to go out), and I prefer a nice fenced yard where I can wander around without fear of the big, scary world. I’m not the best on a leash outside of walks, and new things can make me anxious, so a secure yard is a must! If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow companion with a bit of a goofy side, I’m your girl. I just need a family who can give me the love, patience, and attention I deserve. And don’t worry—I’ll reward you with snuggles, squeaky toy destruction, and all the love in the world. Ready to meet me? I promise I’ll make your heart melt.   Sincerely, Malaga, the Squishy Snuggle Queen *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure the breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average bulldog owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs.     Bulldogs are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Meet Scout! This adorable one-year-old Frenchie is on the lookout for his forever family! Despite being born with spina bifida, Scout doesn't let it slow him down. While he may need to wear a diaper and suspenders due to lack of control over his urine and bowls, his ability to stand up makes diapering a breeze. He is able to express his bladder and bowel himself and does not require and assistance in that realm - just changing his diaper. Frankly, not having to go outside in bad weather is a plus, and there is nothing to pickup in your backyard! Because of this, Scout cannot go 8+ hours a day without diaper changes, so he does require someone who works from home, or can stop home to help change his diapers to avoid infection and chaffing. Scout is full of personality, with plenty of opinions to share. He's a playful pup who never seems to tire out, often leaving his friends wondering how he keeps up the energy. When playtime winds down, Scout isn't one to rest for long; he'll grab a toy and entertain himself by tossing it around with gusto. Scout is eager to find a loving home where he can continue spreading joy and laughter with his playful antics. Due to his energetic ways, not all dogs appreciate his play He has doggie friends, who enjoy playing like him, but it is not preferred by all. Scout can't wait to start a basic obedience class with you to keep learning and to make up for lost socialization when he was a younger pup. Scout has not met any kids, but is ok with dog-savvy cats.  He is crate and leash trained, so does not require a fenced in yard.  Scout is looking for a special home, but we know it is out there Scout is an incredibly sweet boy who loves life and not all he needs is YOU…a patient, unconditionally loving fur-ever family that will NEVER give up on him. Sure, he may be a bit higher maintenance than others, but his heart is enormous and it’s overflowing with love that he wants to share with an amazing family. If you will welcome him into your world, he promises you that not only will he show off his excited bouncy dance, but he will make you the center of his universe!!  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I'm Elmer, but know the name Vinny. I'm a 9-year-old Frenchie, and I weigh around 33 pounds. Let me tell you a bit about myself. First and foremost, I absolutely adore my humans. I’m a cuddle bug who loves to follow my people around the house. I never let them out of my sight. If you're sitting in a chair or working in the office, I'll be right there, lying in my dog bed or on the floor next to your feet. And if you sit or lie on the couch, I’ll be up there with you, making sure I’m touching you. I don't jump, I climb up carefully. I have a few favorite things that make my tail wag. I love treats, especially when I get to go into my kennel. I also enjoy playing with balls, soft toys, squeaky toys, and bones. I love chasing basketballs. I think I can fit them in my mouth, and I will chase them as long as you let me! I’m potty trained on a routine and good if we stick to it. Speaking of outside, I don’t need a fenced yard because I walk nicely on a leash for my potty breaks and exercise. I can comfortably walk about a mile or less, making me a great companion for shorter walks. I know some cool commands too: Sit, Stay, Come, and Leave It. Also, I am great overnight in the kennel and don’t mind sleeping in sometimes. I have to admit, I can be a bit possessive of my humans around other dogs, so I’d do best as the only dog in the house. I promise to be all the companion you need. If you do have other pups, I'd do best with those that are low key like me. Barky, playful ones - not my jam.  It would be best if my forever home understand that I have the potential to resource guard my people so will need to be reminded that not everyone is mine.  I really like making them happy, so this shouldn't be a big issue if you keep helping me with my training. You might notice my cute little quirk—I’m missing some front teeth, so sometimes my lips stick to my gums, showing my teeth, and occasionally my tongue sticks out. It’s pretty adorable if I do say so myself! As an older gentleman, my kidneys are not as high functioning as they once were.  I was recently diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease.  As long as you take good care of me and feed me an appropriate diet to help my kidneys not work overly hard, there is no reason  I won’t continue to have a normal lifespan.  I also take meds for high blood pressure. when I went into the vet it was borderline, almost high, so we started meds just in case. I’m an easygoing and laid-back kind of guy. I’d be perfect for an elderly couple or someone who works from home because I LOVE being with my humans. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and low-maintenance friend, I’m your guy!   * Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.
