Story
You'll never have to ask yourself "Where's the Beef?" again because the answer will be "Wherever you are!"
Beef is a funny, joyful, easy-going guy. Whatever you're up to, he's there--as long as it's not running a marathon. He loves his people and is content to hang out wherever you are; it's not uncommon to find him chilling behind you while you make a cup of tea or do dishes. He doesn't really beg, he just leans into your legs to let you know he's there.
Beef loves to cuddle on the couch, play in the backyard in the snow, sleep in, and eat. He's amazing with other dogs, and he's fostered with six cats that he gets along great with! With proper intros, he will be great with other pets, or he'll also be happy as an only dog. He does have high prey drive outside, so monitoring him when he's out is a good idea.
Beef goes into his crate without a peep and sleeps through the night. He doesn't bark at other dogs when he sees them, and he takes pretty much everything in stride. This chill dude adjusts quickly and goes with the flow.
Beef's ideal home is with a chill family; his short legs and smushed face mean he's not up for long walks, and he can't really do stairs regularly (though he can get up and down if he has to). While he's great with all people, he can be a little mouthy when he gets excited, and he jumps a bit. We're working on it in foster, but he'd do better with older kids of 12+ since he'll be too exhuberant for little ones.
While Beef is undoubtably adorable with that little underbite, he's also the product of selective breeding, and his adopters should be prepared for his likely medical needs as he ages. He's a happy guy, but bulldogs need special care, and with the right family, he'll be a fantastic companion.
