Story
Mama Gigi is a MOST ADORABLE, 46 pound, 7 year old bulldog mix seeking her forever home. She is a very sweet, loving pup, who enjoys playing with toys, going on walks, and ice cubes. Gigi is crate trained, housebroken, and knows basic commands and commands and has great manners (she only comes on furniture when invited!). She's motivated by treats and is always looking to please her humans. Gigi would do best in a quiet home, as she is happiest cuddling with her people. Older children (10 and up) who can respect her preference for a mellow lifestyle are recommended. Mama Gigi is currently in a foster home with other dogs and is doing great! If you are interested in finding out more about Mama Gigi, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Mama Gigi is being fostered in Millbury, MA. The adoption fee is $350. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Litterbug found a temporary foster home and is LOVING being out of the rescue! Litterbug is a 1 year old, male, Bulldog mix who has spent almost all of his young life in a kennel. Litterbug has been exceptionally quick and motivated learning new commands and he definitely aims to please. His foster sister, Bailey, has been helping him work on his confidence and overcoming fears (like going down stars or meeting new people). He adores his toys and playing fetch with a good tennis ball. But most of all, he loves cuddle sessions. He is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered. Unfortunately, due to past issues with landlords/housing/insurance, a restricted breed policy is in place for Bully breed/Pit Bull type dogs. This means that you must own your home and provide proof of homeownership to adopt a Bully breed/Pit Bull dog or puppy. While we understand that this may be an inconvenience, it is necessary to help reduce the number of devastated dogs being returned. We apologize for the inconvenience. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STRINGENT OUT OF STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE NOW ONLY ADOPTING TO RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS*. We apologize for the inconvenience. HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and full out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. Story
Shutterbug is a 11 month-old, male, Bulldog mix who has spent FAR too long waiting for his chance at a forever home. It’s really hard to understand why this bright, affectionate pup is still in the shelter. Growing up in a cage is no life for any dog, especially one that loves people as much as Shutterbug. This clever boy is sharp, easily picks up new skills, and is eager to please. He’s a pro on a leash and loves exploring, making him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys walks or outdoor adventures. While Shutterbug has shown he can be selective with some dogs, a few meet-and-greets can help ensure a smooth transition and a perfect fit if you have other dogs at home. Fully vaccinated, neutered, and ready for his happy ending, Shutterbug deserves a life beyond the shelter walls. Please consider giving this wonderful pup the chance he’s been waiting for and he will pay you back with endless love. *PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STRINGENT OUT OF STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE NOW ONLY ADOPTING TO RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS*. Story
If you were to bottle up happiness and put it into a dog, that'd be me! I'm a total love whose eager to make new friends of all shapes and sizes. When I go out for my walks, I have to stop everyone in the hallway to make sure they say hello to me! I like cats, I like dogs, and I love people. Unfortunately, my background is a bit of a mystery and has left me with some issues. I have masses present in both of my ears, my skin wasn't well taken care of, and the folds of my face were left very dirty. With the love and care from staff and vets, I'm on the mend! While the simple stuff is being taken care of now, my ears are going to be a longer process to figure out. I barely even notice it's an issue, however, I'm still as happy as can be!I'd do well just about anywhere as long as you're prepared to love me 24/7. I don't take breaks - I need snuggles all the time!
