Story
What an adorable little firecracker !! FULL of personality and afraid of nothing! She is confident, curious, LOVES the water and her baby pool. Often times she's the only one willing to get in. OOFIE lives to be with other dogs and especially adores her humans. She is literally always happy! You cannot rain on her parade! She is kennel trained and almost house trained! She is a joy to have as part of our foster family. LAMAREY is with me in my home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted , she will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family. Once an application has been submitted and approved , I would be happy to speak with you and tell you all of the wonderful things about her ! You will find our volunteer team to be very responsive so please refrain from submitting an application until you are ready to welcome a new forever family member. Transport runs each weekend, leaving Memphis Tennessee Friday morning around 6 AM at which time they start a group chat with the two drivers and all the adopters who have a A Pet on board.

Story
Posted March 2024 Bitsy is a one year old bully breed mix who weighs approximately 50 lbs. She is great with other dogs and even likes cats. She is housebroken and crate trained. She would do best with older kids because she doesn’t realize how strong she is and might knock down a small child with her exuberance. There are no strangers in Bitsy’s world, she loves everyone she meets. She was found as a stray and luckily was saved by our southern rescue partners. When she was rescued she had a terrible case of demodex but with loving care and dedicated veterinary care she is all healed up and ready to roll. Interested in meeting Bitsy or any of our other sweeties? Check out our adoption application. Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout Maine. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Story
Meet BRUTUS also known as BRUCE! Bruce may appear to be your loving sweet old man, but he is so much more. Not only will Bruce push your every button; he will also steal your entire heart. He is an 11 year old American bulldog mix. Life with Bruce is demanding and at times he is anything but an easy dog. However, if you have lots of love and patience Bruce will become the light of your life. Due to a medication Bruce is on he drinks a lot of water and has to go to the bathroom frequently. Whenever he wants something - he growls. I know, i know, that sounds crazy right? But he means no harm and no foul. It is simply how he communicates. It is much like caring for a crying baby - offer him water, food, a potty break etc and soon you will find the cause for his vocal communication. Bruce loves but rubs and scratches. He will walk over to you and push his bed up against you until you scratch him. He does well for his medicated shampoo baths but he does require a little payment of peanut butter on the wall. This dog is a car dog! He absolutely loves to ride! Bruce is a food hound. He will 110% steal food off of your counters if you do not put it away. All trash in the house needs to be covered and preferably in a pantry or behind a cabinet door as he will steal trash. Bruce gets along with most dogs however most dogs do not tolerate Bruce’s behaviors. Bruce likes to play in a very rough dominating way and unless the dog has a similar play style he usually finds himself in the doghouse with his canine friends. Bruce is 50-50 with cats. He seems to respect and befriend older cats but finds kittens and smaller cats tempting. Bruce will try to dominate your cats and other dogs especially hyperactive young male dogs. Bruce’s one MAJOR DISLIKE is shutting doors in his face. He is not one for physical boundaries and he is not accepting of humans putting body pressure on him. He will stand his ground however - if you grab a treat he will willingly follow you anywhere! Bruce’s ideal home would be a tolerant patient owner with experience in bully breeds. His owner would preferably work from home we’re not be gone longer than four hours during the day as he does require multiple potty breaks. He would prefer an owner who believes their dog should go where they go and an owner who will take him on frequent car rides. Bruce would also prefer to be the light of your life - therefore a house will little humans should con
