Story
Meet your next favorite squish-face, Deebo! He is approximately 1 yr old, 35 lbs, and a French/English Bulldog mix. Deebo is kennel trained, pretty good with leash walking, and great with other dogs and cats! Potty-training is still a work in progress, but he does well when on a strict routine. While he does really well with a wild toddler in his foster home, it isn't his favorite and he'd prefer a home with kiddos 12+. He is a BIG snuggler who is generally pretty lowkey, but does have the occasional zoomies/times he wants to romp around and play. Deebo came to us with multiple skin infections but has improved greatly after medication and medicated baths. He will likely always have skin sensitivity issues. It is preferred that any potential adopters have experience with these breeds and are aware of common medical issues you may have to tackle throughout their life. Good thing they have amazing personalities! If interested in meeting Deebo please submit an adoption application on our website- www.foreverhomedogs.org. His adoption fee is $300.All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Story
Lucas is a very handsome puppy, born Nov 2023, who is looking for a home where he'll be showered with attention.  He is very loving and enjoys children of all ages.   Like many young pups, he is curious and will sneak out of the house if not watched closely and will need a fenced yard to play and run around in.  Lucas is not fond of being left alone and will tend to get into trouble when he is, so he'll need some help from you to learn how to behave until you come home.    He would most enjoy a family who has lots of time to spend with him, playing and training him as he grows into an adult.   The suggested adoption donation for Lucas is $415, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.   Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption.   Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.   To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.  Alter Agreement: If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital or Omaha Animal Medical Group in Omaha, at no cost to you. Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost. If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, the adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice. If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses. All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.   ##2205150##

Roxy was surrendered after her owner became physically unable to care for her. She is very friendly and loves people. She needs to be the only pet because she gets very jealous of other pets. She doesn't mind other animals socially, just doesn't like to share attention at home. She is a stocky and strong girl. Roxy has lots of love to give.
