What an adorable little firecracker !! FULL of personality and afraid of nothing! She is confident, curious, LOVES the water and her baby pool. Often times she's the only one willing to get in. OOFIE lives to be with other dogs and especially adores her humans. She is literally always happy! You cannot rain on her parade! She is kennel trained and almost house trained! She is a joy to have as part of our foster family. LAMAREY is with me in my home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted , she will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family. Once an application has been submitted and approved , I would be happy to speak with you and tell you all of the wonderful things about her ! You will find our volunteer team to be very responsive so please refrain from submitting an application until you are ready to welcome a new forever family member. Transport runs each weekend, leaving Memphis Tennessee Friday morning around 6 AM at which time they start a group chat with the two drivers and all the adopters who have a A Pet on board. Transport is an additional $185.

Story
Nike is a 50-pound, seven-month-old, happy, fun, snuggly and playful male Bulldog/Terrier-mix puppy looking for a loving guardian. Nike is such a good-natured dog and has no idea that he’s differently-abled. His legs are extremely bowed with a front limb deformity. That doesn’t stop him from chasing balls and rough-housing with dog friends. Because he can injure himself on concrete, he is best playing in a soft grassy yard. His walks on sidewalks have so far been limited. This guy is as sweet as they come. He just loves people of all ages, and other dogs. We think he’ll be about 60 pounds full-grown. He is looking for a very special family who will take him into their heart and home. He is smart, loving and very eager to please. He might enjoy cats, more than they enjoy him. Nike is housebroken when taken out regularly, crate-trained, and learning his commands. He is very food focused and just loves belly rubs. He’s currently doing physical therapy and massage in Chicago. He is not a candidate for surgery. But, he may at times wear booties and braces to protect and guide his legs into the right position. Nike is otherwise very healthy, vaccinated for rabies, distemper and bordetella, microchipped, fecal-tested and de-wormed. He will be neutered in the near future. His adoption fee of $500 benefits K9EI RESCUE. To meet and possibly adopt Nike, please fill out an adoption application at https://k9ei.dog/foster-adopt/ and follow up to meet him by e-mailing info@k9ei.dog Nike is being fostered in Chicago, and must be adopted within 60 miles of Plainfield, Illinois. Currently, his therapy & orthopedic caregivers are located in Chicago.

adoptaBull english bulldog rescue only adopts within our Midwestern radius. Our radius includes Chicago and suburbs, most of Northern Illinois, SW Wisconsin, and NW Indiana. If you fall within our adoption radius and are interested in adopting, please apply on our website: adoptabull.org. Following is more information about Whitney. I started off my life as a breeder Mama. I was surrendered to Adoptabull and I have been adjusting to the bulldog life as my foster mom calls it. I am super scared of loud noises and I will run and hide in my kennel. I am scared of most things and find comfort in my kennel. My foster mom leaves it open for me and I just come in and out as i please. I have recently discovered that I can come out by the human people and they let me cuddle on the couch.. and let me tell you I LOVE it!! I never knew how much I loved it until now. I do have a foster sister and brother who are also bulldogs and we get along so well. My foster sister and i really have bonded and she has shown me the ropes. I discovered I like toys, chewing on bones, and sunbathing. I have even learned to play, maybe this is what my foster mom was talking about.. bulldog life. I love treats and will do most anything for them. I also like to give kisses so i hope you like them because I have a lot to give. I love my foster humans and their whole family. I get so excited to see them when they come home from work and school. I am having trouble using the bathroom outside... i have mastered going outside to pee but pooping outside is just weird and I don't like to even though sometimes I will. I know it may seem easy for others but I have never had to do that before.. I am working on it. I use to be scared to even go outside through that big scary door, but I am learning that it is okay (plus foster mom gives me treats when I do go outside so why not entertain her and get a cookie). I need someone to be patient with me while I continue to learn what its like to be a spoiled bulldog. I am learning slowly and so far I love it.

Story
Hi! My name is Chelsea Dagger (yes, Blackhawk fans, THAT Chelsea Dagger!). Chicago Animal Control found me on the streets and when they found me, I was super thin (under 45lbs), limping, and in all-around pretty rough shape. I had obviously been bred before being abandoned. I now look healthy! My limp is gone, and I love to walk, jump and play. I even do stairs well. You would never know I have arthritis if it weren't for my daily doggie ibuprofen! The vet says I’m about 4 years old, and I am doing really well! I must have received some training along the way, because I haven’t had any accidents in the house. I am doing great with sitting, learning to stay when doors are open, and my leash walking has improved. In short, I will do just about anything for a treat. I still need to work a bit on jumping up, but I get so excited when I see my foster mom and dad that sometimes I forget. Oh, and I’m quite the wiggle-butt! Although my tail is short and stumpy it is almost always wagging. I don’t mind going in my crate to bed every night, or when my foster parents are away. Otherwise, I like to be out where I can explore and be close to whoever is in the room. I love being near my foster parents and I’m very inquisitive and affectionate. I’m learning all the different sounds of my foster house and my neighborhood. Some of them make me nervous, and sometimes I bark at night – but usually settle down pretty quickly. My foster parents tease me that I really want to be a lap dog. I’m only 50 pounds (soon to be more like 70!), so I don’t understand what the big deal is. Oh, and when my foster mom and dad are in Zoom meetings, they keep me busy with bones and licking mats – so I like it when they have meetings. I also like joining their meetings on occasion and am always the star of the show. People love my little snaggle tooth that pops out when I smile. My foster family has another female dog, and I’m not too sure about her yet. Every time I go outside, I look around to see if she is there, and wag my tail a lot when we walk together. I think I want to be friends, but I don’t know how. Maybe it is the time I spent on the street and the way I was treated by other dogs, but I always feel like I need to defend myself. I’m still working on it. I haven’t been around any children – so I’m not sure how I feel about them. I’m also not sure what cats are, or how I would feel about them. I am really smart and would love a family who would play with me, give me fun puzzles and activities to do, and most of all Cuddle! I am a full body hugger and snuggle bug. My foster parents seem to think that I would be best in a home without any other dogs so I can give all the loves and get all the loves. They tell me I am very sweet, and they think I would make a fantastic only dog. If you would like to donate to Chelsea's care, and the care of dogs like her, please go to our website at http://shopcebr.com/products/donation or Venmo @ChicagoEBR HOW TO QUALIFY FOR A CEBR BULLY- To determine if you qualify to adopt one of our adorable bullies start by viewing our Adoption Area Map. Story
Hi! My name is Murphy and I’m 7 years old, but my foster family calls me Big Murph, Big Moose and Big Mooseman Murph! I noticed they say “big” a lot, and apparently, I am. When I was surrendered by my last home, due to a work conflict, and I weighed in at 98lbs then, but I’m already down 3lbs and looking buff! The nice people at the Dupage Animal Services knew that calling CEBR would be a great choice because they know bulldogs best! I’ve been hanging out in my very own “apartment”, it’s pretty cozy down here. Sometimes I get a little sad when my foster family isn’t down here giving me all their attention but that’s because I’m worried they’ll leave me behind. It gets kind of hard when you’re not sure of your place being that this is my 3rd home. I don’t know what I’ve done wrong. My foster family tells me I’m such a good boy and I think so myself! I’m really good at sitting for my eye and ear medicine and getting my wrinkles all wiped out. I just had an eye surgery, I swear I’m not vain! My super thick eyelashes were turned in so they were scratching my eyes, OUCH! I can see much better now and that is exciting! Speaking of exciting, guess what makes my tail spin like a tornado? Soccer balls, basketballs, tennis balls, kong balls, you name a ball and I love it already! I also have 2 foster sisters and I know I my strength so I’m a little more gentle when I play with them. I'm good with female dogs, but no male dogs for my please. There’s also a really howly guy, seriously he’s always howling, but also waiting on meeting him. I do get a super wiggly tail when we all talk to each other and I’m learning to sit when I see them past the gates. I’m hoping to be friends with them too! I’m totally potty trained, I like calming music on when I’m by myself, gentle for a big guy but mostly I just want to be loved and not move again! If you would like to donate to Muphry’s care or the care of dogs like him, please go to our website at http://shopcebr.com/products/donations or Venmo @ChicagoEBR HOW TO QUALIFY FOR A CEBR BULLY- To determine if you qualify to adopt one of our adorable bullies, start by viewing our Adoption Are Map. Story
Luisy arrived pregnant, cared for her pup and now is ready to be the light of someone's life!   She is approximately 2.5 years old and weighs in at about 75+ lbs. She has a gorgeous coat that is like velvet, is full of energy and loves to run and play in the yard. When she's not zooming around, she's a cuddle bug that craves affection and will happily roll over for belly rubs at the drop of a hat! Luisy is as loving as they come, good with other dogs and will steal your heart with her charming personality and squishy face. Luisy is strong when walking on a leash and will need some additional practice. Kids in the home should be 8+ years old as a 'happy' Luisy may accidentally bump into a little one without realizing and knock them down.    **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent. **Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Please ensure your current pets are up to date with vetting, have landlord/HOA approval and are prepared to take your new family member home at the adoption appointment.  Thank you for your interest!                    If you are interested in adoption, please complete the "Application to Adopt" which can be accessed from this link: (   www.magnificentmutts.org )  No phone calls please, emails only. Name: Chickaletta Age: 2/3 years Gender: Female Breed: Bulldog mix Weight: 53lbs Crate trained: Yes Potty trained: Yes Dog friendly: No Cat friendly: No Kid friendly: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Spayed/Neutered: Yes Heartworm: Negative Microchipped: Yes Energy level: Low Location: Palatine, IL. Most suitable lifestyle: Suburbs with a fenced yard. Chickaletta is an incredibly sweet dog that may just be too sweet. She’s a great dog but is very needy. Her cuddling style is more like crawling into your skin and trying to wear you like a coat. She lacks confidence and is constantly looking for reassurance and approval. We have her listed as needing a fenced yard, because she is reactive on leash and she does not enjoy the company of other dogs. She wants to be your one and only. She’s totally potty trained and great in the crate. She doesn’t actually need a crate though as she is not destructive when left out. She’s great with kids and isn’t mouthy or in appropriate at all. She’s just very needy. She would do great as a single dog with someone who is retired or lives alone and wants a constant companion. She’s low energy and doesn’t need a bunch of exercise. A backyard where she can go potty and come back is perfect for her. If you're interested in meeting Chickaletta, please fill out an application at the link below. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DHDN/Dog

Hi! Mia is looking for a loving home with people who want to share their bed, couch and arms for nice long cuddle sessions! She does well with other dogs, but is afraid of small kids and needs a home without little ones running around and tugging at her. She is a wonderful companion, and the sweetest wrinkly smoosh! Mia can be a bit lazy, so long walks are not her preference. She enjoys having a toy or two handy that she can play with or snuggle up to, though. She also prefers to be in her crate when left home alone, or as known to her, her “house”. Mia was adopted in 2018 and was estimated to be about 2-3 years old at that time. She is a truly wonderful dog and we are beyond devastated by the need to rehome her so hoping for a special person or people to become her new family. Thank you for considering!

Story
Miss Honey is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Miss Honey is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - Currently on medications for anxiety suppport More about Miss Honey: Housebroken: Working on it and making progress, but may still have occasional accidents. She will benefit from continuing to work on this with positive reinforcement training and a consistent routine! Crate trained: Yes! She has done well for up to 8 hours in her crate when home alone, and sleeps well in her crate overnight. Leash walking: Doing well overall. She does not pull but she can occasionally bark when other dogs bark at her first. Dog social: Yes! Miss Honey has participated in dog playgroups at our Adoption Center and did well. She lives with other dogs in her foster home and likes to play, but may guard resources (food, toys, chews) so should have management in place around high value items. Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: She has been friendly towards children but is a better match for older kids (12+) as she can become easily excitable Miss Honey likes: - Watching TV with you - Enjoying the sunshine - Cuddling up in some cozy blankets Miss Honey has two speeds: attention-seeking-shadow and total couch potato. Most of the time, she is happy to cuddle up to you on the couch or snooze in her bed while you cook or work from home, but if she decides you haven't paid attention her to enough she will follow you everywhere. That being said, if you play with her for 10-15 minutes, she is totally knocked out on the couch for the rest of the evening. When you are sitting on the couch watching TV, she will try her best to lay on top of you so she can maximize the potential for belly rubs. She loves to be as cozy as possible, and will burrow in blankets or squeeze herself into the smallest dog bed available. She would appreciate an adopter who can help her channel her energy in positive ways when she becomes overstimulated, to avoid mouthing and jumping behaviors. Miss Honey's adoption fee is $300, and she is excited to find the perfect person to cuddle with on the sofa! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***
