Story
Buttercup was brought to a city shelter as a “stray” but the person brought in a couple of dogs and they were all the same breed, had clearly been bred multiple times and all had some health issues. We and the city shelter believe that it was breeder that dumped them when they were done with them. Buttercup has some typical bulldog issues, she has dry eye in both eyes so she needs her eyes rinsed and ointment daily. She did have entropion in both eyes and an elongated esophagus but that was repaired. She can get a little itchy if you give her the wrong treats or food but nothing serious. She is extremely loving, attentive and gentle with her foster dad. She does not like to listen to her foster mom. She looks at her and then goes about doing what she wants. Different rules for different people. Haha! She is crate trained, good on leash and good with other animals. She would also be fine as an only pet. LOVES car rides. Goes insane for squeaky toys - she does not know how to share toys.

Story
Bongo is the sweetest little potato you’ve ever met. He is a 3-year-old bully breed mix saved from the West Valley shelter. He is a kind and gentle soul who is easy to walk on leash. While he may not want to live with other dogs, he is not leash reactive. His favorite things in life are belly rubs, butt-scratches, sun bathing, and couch-cuddling. He is perfect for a family who wants a mellow snuggle buddy. He is quiet in the house, potty-trained and well-behaved. He knows a couple of commands and his little waddle will melt your heart. Bongo is currently being fostered in the Los Angeles area.

Alfie is a head strong English bulldog who requires a home with breed experience, no other dogs and a very strong, confident pack leader. He is house and crate trained. Story
Meet Kelly! Kelly is a sweet, 3-year-old English Bulldog mix weighing around 45 lbs. She’s a mellow, easygoing girl who has mastered her potty training and enjoys a calm and relaxed environment. Kelly gets along well with small dogs, making her an excellent companion for households with little pups. One of her best qualities? She’s respectful of your furniture! Kelly doesn’t jump on couches or beds, preferring to keep all four paws on the ground. However, Kelly would do best in a home without cats, as she’s not comfortable around them. Her previous foster home took great care of her, and they noted she’s a real sweetheart with lots of love to give.If you’re looking for a loyal and laid-back companion, Kelly might be the perfect fit! ????#AdoptKelly #BulldogMix #RescueDogs #ForeverHome

Story
Meet Hershey! This sweet bully girl was pulled from Long Beach Shelter with a dire need of surgery on her eyelids which we provided a few weeks ago. She is now in perfect health and ready for her forever home! When we first got Hershey, she was scared of other dogs (barking, lunging). We have had a dog trainer fostering her since her surgery and now she is able to comfortably go on walks side-by-side with other dogs while showing amazing leash manners! We LOVE the progress she has made in the last couple of weeks, but we are looking for a home where she is either the only dog, or is going to owners that are very, very savvy with crate rotations, dog behavior, etc. Hershey LOVES people- especially women and is so playful!! She loves to play with toys and get silly with her fosters in their yard. It may take her a little bit to warm up to new men. She is just so sensitive due to her traumatic past. She is crate trained, potty trained, just a wonder of a dog. She loves to snuggle SO much! Because she is such a velcro dog, we recommend her being crated when alone or at night to avoid the possibility of separation anxiety which is SO difficult to undo once it has begun. If you're looking for a gorgeous, well behaved dog to be your one and only, please apply for Hershey today!

Story
Fionna is very snuggly! She loves to be held and will sleep for hours laying in your lap. She is such a sweety pie. Be ready to adopt. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please fill out our online application and our adoption counselor will reach out to you to discuss meeting your new family member. French Bulldogs are loving, playful, and sociable dogs that thrive on companionship. They are generally low-maintenance in grooming and have charming personalities. Their loving nature makes them amazing companions, whether for families or individuals. Health Considerations As a brachycephalic breed, Frenchies are prone to certain health challenges, including: - Breathing issues due to their short snouts, which can worsen in heat or during strenuous activity. - Skin and food allergies requiring dietary management and skincare routines. - Joint problems like hip dysplasia or intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). - Higher susceptibility to overheating, requiring temperature control and limited activity in hot weather. While they bring endless joy, potential owners should be prepared for regular veterinary care and possible higher medical costs to ensure their health and happiness. With proper care, French Bulldogs make delightful and devoted pets.
