Reece is a 2-year-old, 60-pound AKC papered English Bulldog with a rare red merle coat that makes her truly one of a kind. Recently fully vetted, she’s now ready to find the forever home she deserves. Unlike many bulldogs, Reece doesn’t suffer from allergies or major breathing concerns—a rare and welcome trait! She’s a solid girl with lots of lovable rolls and could benefit from regular exercise to shed a few pounds. Reece is both house and crate trained, affectionate yet playful, and has that classic bulldog mix of sass and stubbornness. Reece was raised with toddlers and multiple dogs and has done well, but she would thrive most as an only dog or possibly with a well-matched, submissive canine companion. She plays hard and likes to be the boss, so she needs a home that understands bulldog dynamics and will continue to set loving boundaries. She also has one special need: an inverted tail, a minor birth abnormality that requires routine cleaning to avoid skin irritation. It’s easily manageable with an inexpensive product from Amazon and a little consistency. Reece is only being rehomed due to no fault of her own—her original family lovingly bottle-fed her as a pup, but after keeping several littermates, their young son developed severe dog allergies. Our dogs are in foster homes all over the Bay Area and all adopters are required to travel to the foster home to meet. We do not have a facility. He can be a little shy around men at first, but give him some time and he’ll warm up like a microwaved baked potato—soft, comforting, and loyal to the core 🥔❤️. This good boy is crate trained, doesn’t bark in his crate (a true unicorn), and is perfectly content chilling with his favorite hard chew toys. He’s calm, polite, and very patient—even when dressed in questionable outfits by his foster mom. Fashion icon? Maybe. Willing model? Meet Truffle Shuffle! Who could resist this little butterball?? Truffle is a 6-year-old bulldog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s full of character—your classic bulldog girl through and through. At first, Truffle can be timid and a little skittish with new people, but with a bit of patience, she warms up quickly. Once you’re in her circle, she’ll want nothing more than to be by your side and soak up all the love and pets you can give. (Boundaries? She’s not too familiar with that word! ?) Truffle does well with most dogs, especially calmer males, but she likes to be the queen of the house. Slow intros are the way to go to make sure she acclimates smoothly to a new environment and with other dogs. Good with cats too! She is not a good fit for homes with small children. When Truffles was first rescued from the shelter, she was in rough shape—painful ear infections, bad skin, eye infections, and struggling to breathe. She’s had two major airway surgeries (common in flat-faced breeds like bulldogs), along with her spay, and is now feeling so much better. Truffles is also slowly going blind and will require lifelong eye medication to keep her comfortable. It’s important to know that bulldogs and other brachycephalic dogs need extra care, especially in the heat. Chunk is an English Bulldog who has mastered the art of couch lounging, snack snatching, and soulful gazing. He’s socially polite on walks or playdates with other dogs, but when it comes to roommates, he’s a bit of a diva. He prefers to be your one and only, or maybe chill with just one super mellow fur buddy who respects his personal space. Here’s the thing: Chunk can get overwhelmed sharing a home with other dogs, and that can make him feel a little unsafe—which sometimes leads to fear-based behavior. But when he’s flying solo? He’s the goodest boy when he is getting his daily mental and physical needs met. We do not recommend a busy home OR a home with kids for Chunk. Chunk’s not just cute—he’s accomplished. He’s spent 12 weeks training with the amazing Lee Johnson of @bespokecanine @boooshank and has a lifetime membership to the Cool Dogs Club (aka continued support from his trainer, group classes, private sessions, boarding options and priority access to a doggy swimming pool!).
