Story
Betsy is a gentle bulldog mix who is just beginning her journey toward the happy, healthy life she deserves. She came to us very underweight and clearly in need of care, but even after everything she has been through, her sweet and loving nature shines through. It appears that Betsy recently had puppies and was living in the car of a neighbor of the person who found her before she was brought to safety. Despite this difficult start, Betsy has shown nothing but kindness and quiet resilience. She is currently in recovery, gaining weight, and learning what it means to be safe, warm, and cared for. Betsy has a calm, tender personality and seems grateful for every gentle word and kind touch. She is still building her strength, but her affectionate spirit is already very clear. With continued care, patience, and love, she will make a deeply loyal and devoted companion. Betsy is looking for a home that will give her the time and understanding she needs as she continues to heal. In return, she will offer endless gratitude, gentle affection, and a heart full of love. If you are ready to give a deserving dog a second chance, Betsy would be so grateful to meet you.

Story
If long, slow walks and cuddles sound good to you, beautiful Bettina is your girl! This goofy girl charms everyone she meets with her sweetness. Bettina is about 50 pounds and she’s working on losing some weight. She has strong bull dog vibes and is a heavy breather, but only snores a bit (and she's a great sleeper). She is fully house-trained and does just fine when she’s home on her own. She doesn’t use a crate in her foster home, and does well just hanging out in gated areas. She’s still getting comfortable with walking with a harness and taking car trips, but her confidence is growing every day. Bettina gets excited when she dogs, but hasn’t had a lot of experience getting to know other dogs yet. She’s quick to join in a cuddle on the couch, and knows how to stay chill, she's both a great cuddle and work buddy! (AM)

Story
Meet Reece – a gorgeous, wrinkly, red merle beauty with a heart as big as her bulldog personality! Reece is a 2-year-old, 60-pound AKC papered English Bulldog with a rare red merle coat that makes her truly one of a kind. Recently fully vetted, she’s now ready to find the forever home she deserves. Unlike many bulldogs, Reece doesn’t suffer from allergies or major breathing concerns—a rare and welcome trait! She’s a solid girl with lots of lovable rolls and could benefit from regular exercise to shed a few pounds. Reece is both house and crate trained, affectionate yet playful, and has that classic bulldog mix of sass and stubbornness. Reece was raised with toddlers and multiple dogs and has done well, but she would thrive most as an only dog or possibly with a well-matched, submissive canine companion. She plays hard and likes to be the boss, so she needs a home that understands bulldog dynamics and will continue to set loving boundaries. She also has one special need: an inverted tail, a minor birth abnormality that requires routine cleaning to avoid skin irritation. It’s easily manageable with an inexpensive product from Amazon and a little consistency. Reece is only being rehomed due to no fault of her own—her original family lovingly bottle-fed her as a pup, but after keeping several littermates, their young son developed severe dog allergies. In a perfect world, Reece’s forever home would be with a homeowner who has a secure yard, bully breed experience, and the time and love to devote to helping her thrive. She’s ready to bring big laughs, big love, and big bulldog energy into her next chapter. Is your couch (and heart) ready for Reece? Story
English Bulldog Age: 5-6 yrs old Female, Spayed 38 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Courtney was found as a stray and turned into the local shelter. She had an abscess on her paw that needed medical attention. Upon evaluation by our vet, it was observed that she also has dry eye syndrome, ectropion eyelids that turn in, but her corneas were in pretty good shape. There were also sutures still in place on her lower abdominal area. The incision was too small for a recent C-section and there were no other signs that she had been recently pregnant (although she has likely had puppies in the past). It could have been from a recent spay, but lab testing indicated that she was still intact. It is a mystery as to why the incision w/ sutures was there. Our vet spayed her and fixed her eyelids. She is on ointment and eye drops for the chronic dry eyes, but it is possible that this will correct itself over time. English bulldogs in general often have LOTS of medical issues. Courtney had some domination issues with the volunteers when she first came to us. After some consistent and stringent correction, that behavior considerably lessened, but she will need to be monitored when meeting strangers. Otherwise, she is very sweet and loves attention. We pulled Courtney at the same time we pulled another English Bulldog, a male named Otis, from the same shelter. We thought that they may have come from the same home and were bonded. They do get along very well and probably bonded in a bulldog breed bonding sort of way. Courtney and Otis need to be adopted together. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Courtney, contact: nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com
