Story
Pippie and sister Chippie are fabulous and feisty Arabian Mau mix rescued from Kuwait. They are high energy, playful, and fun. These kitties will thrive best in a stimulating environment. They have beautiful and unique coloring, medium hair with great bushy tails although Pippie had hers shaved but it is growing back quickly. Can you give these kitties a loving home? * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate and distemper series), treated for parasites, and have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be more. For a pair, we reduce the adoption fee slightly.February 1, 2025, 4:25 pm

Story
Puma Cat is a sweet Arabian Mau mix who traveled to 4 Paws from Kuwait when her original rescuer ended up having to go back home to the Ukraine. She had been hoping to take her beloved cat home with her but the situation in Ukraine was just too dangerous, so she made the difficult decision to send Puma to 4 Paws in the hope of finding a great forever home for her. Puma has a lovely, sweet nature. She is a chatty girl who loves to cuddle in her foster's lap. She is good with gentle children. She would make a wonderful family cat. She is ready to start her new life here in the U.S. She even comes complete with her own kitty passport. Puma Cat's estimated birthdate is November 2018. She is spayed, current on vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped

Story
Buttercup, a teeny tabby girl, and Sybil, an adorable glossy black girl, came to HART with 9 kittens that they were raising together. This very bonded pair have made it clear that they are quite ready to be someone's babies now that their kittens have all been adopted. Please come and meet this special pair soon! These beauties are bonded and are constantly interacting with each other. They are very active and love chasing each other around, playing with a toy together, and even sharing food from one bowl (even though they have their own). At rest, they sleep next to each other and also next to their foster mom (and each other). They take turns giving the other a bath. Buttercup's purr motor goes on when she's playing, cuddling, and just hanging out. Sybil may take a moment to warm up, and then she will be a lovely and constant companion, happy to lounge next to her foster mom. Both are super sweet and friendly. They are great at using the scratching post, and don't seem to shed. Thank you for your interest in Buttercup! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=18670 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Buttercup, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

Story
Caleb was kind of a rescue. His previous owner wasn't experienced with indoor cats and he was looking for someone to take him in. The previous owner was a friend of my sister-in-law so we decided to take him in. We've had him for almost 3 years at this point. We have 3 other cats that are much younger than him. He is about 15-16 years old and the oldest one of the 3 other cats is 3 1/2. They want to be buddies with him and play with him all the time. He doesn't want anything to do with them. He gets irritated with them as he just wants to lay around, roam around, and use the litter box in peace. I want him to go to a home that also has older cats or no cats. He loves to get pets and will stare at you and head bump you until you pet him. He will also happily snuggle with you on the couch or in bed. I do not have a carrier for him. It is best to have something he can travel in.
