Meet Snow White (Seven Dwarves NOT Included) Breed: Australian Shepherd mix Rescue: Albert's Dog Lounge Age: Senior Weight: 67 lbs Fun fact: I am often mistaken for Nana from Peter Pan Foster home: Edgar, WI Activity level: Low Friendly with: Dog, but like the rest of us, prefers them on the quieter side. Fine with cats Sleep style: Snuggled in a too small chair Meals: Good quality kibble for my bladder stones Snore-o-meter: 0 Bark-o-meter: 1 Shedding meter: 10 Favorite season: Winter, because she has lots the most glorious coat and likes to show it off Personality: Laid back, sweet, and curious Best feature: She is the sweetest, calmest dog. If you smile at her and tell her what a good girl she is, she smiles back and wags her tail and comes to you for pets. Walkout Song: Queen, we are the champions. because she has overcome living outside, having a huge bladder stone that went unnoticed until she got here, and through it all she is sweet as pie. She has thrived in spite of humans Signature color: Camo, because I am a Wisconsin girl now! And I love me some casual Friday! I am laaaaaaid back. Signature move: horseback riding. because she could feel the wind blow through her glorious lion mane Needs: Someone who is patient with my dislike of brushing, and who will make sure that my bladder stone doesn't come back to bother me! Loves: Mealtime, car rides, lazy Sundays, socializing, pets & lounging in a cozy spot Spayed Microchipped Walks well on a leash Excellent car rider Would do well in a crate if it were big enough for her to lie down and stretch out UTD on vaccinations UTD on preventatives Housebroken - Yes Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
About Me: Name: Uma, Una, Urban Breed (or best guess): Australian Shepherd/Poodle Approximate Age: 3-4 months Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 12 lb on 12/15/24 Adoption Fee: $650 each Requirements: Loving family ready for life with a puppy Why In Rescue: surrender Profile:   Uma, Una, and Urban came from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who was not able to sell them to a broker or pet store.  While they have never lived in a home, they are happy playful pups that can't wait to be part of a family.  They have been spayed/neutered, started on vaccinations including Rabies, dewormed at least once, microchipped and put on heartworm/flea/tick preventative as well as had a vet exam.  If interested in one of these cute and active pups, please fill out the application at www.bichonrescues.com  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS December 17, 2024, 1:16 pm

Kimber, female, 1.6yr old Aussie/Heeler mix, weighs 34lbs Kimber has a sad story behind her. A good Samaritan found her and her litter of puppies hiding out by an abandoned shed. When she was discovered, all of her puppies had died except for one. They took her in and fostered her for a local rescue while she got vetted and healthy. She is now ready for a family of her own that she can prove her love to. She is very affectionate, playful and social with other dogs. She doesn't ever want to have to be on her own again and has quickly learned her house training, leash walking and the fine art of sleeping through the night on a cozy dog bed. Kimber is gentle with kids as well. Her puppy, Rob, will be available for adoption in a week or so.     We are located at S47 W30760 State Road 59, North Prairie, WI As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. Story
Burt is 14 months old. He is a miniature Australian Shepherd. He is a little shy at first, and transitions can give him a lot of anxiety, but once he warms up, he is great with people and other dogs.  We are working through some resource guarding but because of his story he's afraid of losing his person or the good things he has now. He is house trained and does okay on a leash. He is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He is looking for a home with another established dog and a fenced yard in order to help him get settled in after his transition a little easier.  Fostered in Mazomanie, Wisconsin area.
