Story
URGENT: Can you help me? I need a FOSTER home or an ADOPTIVE home by 9/28/2024. I am currently in Texas awaiting my second chance. Not all pups are lucky to get out but, with your help, I may just have that chance! If you can help, please apply on www.HBWI.org. Meet Molly, a mini Australian Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. She was found wandering the streets of a rural Texas town, wearing another dog’s tags, but no one came to reclaim her. Instead of heading to a shelter, Molly settled into a loving foster home while she waits for her big journey to Wisconsin. Molly is a sweet, cuddly, and calm girl who adores both dogs and kids. She has a loyal spirit and a joyful personality that makes her an ideal match for first-time dog owners and families alike! If you’re looking for a gentle and loving dog who’s ready to bring the joy, Molly is your girl! FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Story
Intake Reason: Transfer from Texas-Weight: 59# Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: UnknownHowdy, my name is Rocky; I'm a high-octane boy looking for an active home. I am a young lad who needs a smidge of manners training; I can be a touch naughty and mischievous and jump up on people. I am a guy who would do best with a job or two to keep both my brain and body busy. I love to go on long walks or hikes but must confess I think it is fun to bite on the leash to start a game of tug. Since I am still a puppy, my attention span is a wee bit limited so I get bored of leash tug and drop it in short order; that's a good thing, right? When I am out and about, I am not bothered at all by passing cars, people or other dogs; I'm just a happy-go-lucky dude. I like to run and hope to have opportunities to turn on my after-burners. I am a smart boy so I think it would be lovely to take some classes with you to learn all sorts of new things. I would like to attend obedience classes so I learn righteous manners and social skills so I am welcome everywhere we go; it would be grand to be your constant sidekick. I might also enjoy canine sports like agility or participating in nose work or rally. I would do well with patient and positive training techniques, especially if sessions are kept short, exciting and fun. I am friendly and playful; I have really been enjoying the rowdy playgroups at the shelter where I can romp with my buddies. I weigh about 61 pounds now but I think I will get a little bigger when I am an adult; perhaps too big for your lap but I should be perfect for a spot at your side. I hope you stop by to meet me in person because I think you will be impressed by my dynamic personality. #2

Story
Meet Bootsie. She is a loveable sweet girl who loves to be outside with you all day, enjoys walks, car rides, and cuddles on the couch or in bed. She sometimes can get scared when you're away, but of She has something to keep her busy, she will wait patiently for you to come home. Due to past relationships, she gets nervous around men, but give her a chance and she'll warm up in no time. Her favorite game is tug of War, and she loves chewing on stuffed toys and bones. She has bad back hips, but that doesn't stop her when it comes to chasing squirrels. She is best as the only pet in the house as well.
