Meet Milo! This 5 year old, 40 pound, Miniature Australian Shepherd is ready to meet his forever family! This spunky boy is looking for someone who can be his best friend while accommodating his high energy needs.Due to Milo’s breed, he likes to have a job to focus on each day. Sometimes, he thinks his job is to manage the people around him. This can manifest in being nitpicky around children and he’ll want to correct their behavior and can become frustrated when this doesn’t go his way. For this reason, he should go to a home with kids 13 years and older. Aside from these behaviors, Milo loves being around people and receiving all the love and attention he can get! Milo was crate trained as a puppy but it’s not his favorite spot to be. He prefers to free roam the house and does very well. He adjusts quickly to new surroundings but has anxiety that’s well managed by daily medication. It’s important that Milo’s forever family will be one that’s dedicated to managing his anxiety long-term.Milo does great with other dogs but prefers them to be more submissive than him in size and personality. He likes to be the boss! He’d likely do well with another dog in the home given the right dynamics are in place. We aren’t sure how he’d do around cats long-term. He’s had short interactions with them and is largely disinterested. This smart boy enjoys a moderate to high activity level to stimulate him each day. For this reason, he would like a home that can give him a couple walks a day with additional playtime in between. He does well with a tie-out so a fenced yard is not required.Milo’s ready to meet his forever family! With lots of love and activity, he will be the ultimate best friend anyone could ask for. Meet Marti! Marti is a 5 year old, neutered, double merle, male, who came to us almost completely feral. He is a slightly pudgy 40 pounds, crate trained, house broke (but still leaks a little urine when sleeping although we haven't tried medication for that yet as it has been improving). As he is double merle he has some vision issues as well. Marti will need a very special owner that is willing to give him plenty of time to learn to trust. At his foster home Marti gets along with other dogs, is great with cats, and walks off leash in a rural setting. Marti is that lower energy aussie everyone's looking for and would like a quiet home. Marti will need more training in cooperative Care which his foster is working on and is easy to implement. UPDATED BIO - Tanner is a gorgeous neutered Red Tri, who came to rescue out of a hoarding situation, who is very sweet and sensitive. He needs a little bit of time and patience to warm up to new people and adjust to new environments, but once he's comfortable with you, you're his everything. Tanner has come a long way in his foster homes, learning to enjoy walks on the leash and rides in the car. Tanner would love a home with another dog to keep him company. He doesn't play but really enjoys the companionship and has more confidence when there's another dog around to let him know things are safe.
