Story
We are looking to rehome our very loving 6.5 year old Australian Retriever as it is no longer safe to have him in our home with our toddler and newborn. For background, our Australian Retriever, Hunter, has been a wonderful part of our family. Unfortunately, a little over a year ago, he did snip at our 10 month old. We kept them separated and worked on reintroduction over time per our vet's recommendation and spoke with a behavioral therapist, always monitoring them constantly. Unfortunately, he did snip and growl again at our 2 year old recently and we do not feel comfortable continuing to have him in our home with 2 small children. He is an amazing dog for those without little kids and we are hoping to find him a loving home that can be a better fit for him.

Story
Scotch here ! This boy is the most nervous out of the group. He would rather be a watcher than a leader or follower. Scotch prefers to hide under a table or off to the side and watch the chaos of his siblings. Don't get us wrong , he does play and get the zoomies, which consists of an adorable mix of belly crawling and butt dragging at an immensely fast speed. He is NOT potty or kennel trained. He good with kids and dogs - cats he just wants to play with but some kitties won't like that. Don't be sucked into the stunning color and lose sight of the personality and work. He is a total puppy and needs a home ready and committed to that- even past the 'cute puppy stage'. The suggested breeds can be a lot of work and will need a lot of activity and socializing.November 16, 2024, 10:01 am

Story
Piney is one of the smaller girls but holds her own. She is a tad on the shy side when meeting big dogs but with other confident siblings around she has been more and more confident each time. Piney is a sweet, affectionate girl and is curious of her surroundings. She is the first one to seem to be catching onto simple commands as she's very fixated on what her people do Right now she is NOT potty or kennel trained. She good with kids and dogs - cats he just wants to play with but some kitties won't like that. Don't be sucked into her stunning color and lose sight of the personality and work. She is a total puppy and needs a home ready and committed to that- even past the 'cute puppy stage'. Story
Special adoption fee for this bonded duo of $500 Finnigan & Gunner: The best of friends.Finnigan and Gunner are both 4yr old Australian Shepherds, weighing around 40#. They came from a terrible puppy mill/hoarding situation, where they were kept in a small pen with SEVENTEEN, yes, seventeen other dogs. They were terrified, and very dependent on one another to make it through- which is exactly what they've done! These handsome boys have absolutely blossomed! They're loving, playful, and incredibly smart boys. They love to do everything together, or one on one with their person. They do, however, still look to one another for comfort. This bonded pair is great with other dogs, perfect gentlemen on a leash, crate trained (They put themselves in), and are great on car rides. You honestly couldn't ask for a better pair. ❤️ Do you love doggy kisses and snuggles? Then these two are the perfect pair for you! They do well with children and the 7-year-old in their foster home call them “big silly fluffballs.” Gunner: Gunner is a 4yr old Australian Shepherd, weighing approx 40#. Gunner is a total gentleman on a leash and is fully crate trained. He loves to go on walks, and car rides, to explore and spend time with his people! Gunner is an extremely loving boy, but does still get nervous with new things at times. With a little patience, and proper introduction, this boy will make you the greatest best friend! Gunner loves to play with other dogs of all sizes. In his foster home, his favorite thing is running around in the yard, playing with his 10# doggy friend. Gunner likes to play fetch but does not always bring the toy back. Gunner eats his food in his crate to ensure the other dogs in the home don’t get it as Gunner is a slower eater and likes to play with his food/bowl. Finnigan: Finnigan is a 4yr old Australian Shepherd weighing approx 40#. Finnigan is an absolute gentleman on a leash, fully crate trained, and does well with other dogs! He loves long walks, car rides, and snuggles! Anything to spend some quality time with his people. He has absolutely blossomed in his foster home down south and has come a long way with his confidence. Finnigan appears to need more time to relax in his new foster home than Gunner but he is still so loveable and happy. He lives for the belly scratches! Finnigan likes to play with toys and bones. His foster families favorite thing about him is, he usually has one ear up like he wants to listen to everything!Thank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc.
