Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is healed from that but needs 24/7 dog door access - he is doggie door trained. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them. If you are interested in Marmaduke, please fill out an application at our website: forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and we have determined because of his need for 24/7 dog door access he should be adopted locally in case an adopter cannot manage his condition and he must return to the rescue. We only want what is best for this amazingly sweet boy!

Sydney is a tri-colored 6-7 year old female miniature Aussie. She has been spayed and weighs 28 pounds. She still needs to be vetted. Sydney is housebroken, walks good on the leash, gets along well with cats and dogs. She has not been around kids that she knows of. Sydney is not crate trained and the owner does not allow her to sleep on the bed with her. She does not have a fenced in yard but is used to being tether in order to spend free time outdoors. The reason for the surrender is that the Mom found out her daughter that has a mental illness was living in her car with Sydney and rescued the dog. She is unable to care for the dog at this time. Meet Elvis! Elvis is a 3-year-old Red Merle Doodle with a personality as charming as his name. This handsome boy is friendly, cuddly, and incredibly smart—he loves being around people and will happily soak up all the attention (and belly rubs!) you can give. Elvis is great with kids and gets along well with other dogs, though he prefers to have his own space when it comes to food and sometimes water. With a little understanding and simple boundaries, he does just fine and continues to be the sweet, social pup everyone loves. Elvis came into rescue a bit underweight, but he’s been thriving with his foster family and is steadily working his way toward a healthy weight. He’s feeling better every day and his happy, loving personality is really shining through! He’s neutered, completely potty trained, and very well behaved, making him an easy addition to a loving home. Elvis would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run, play, and burn off some of his playful energy. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a fun-loving spirit, Elvis might just be your perfect match. An adoption fee is required. Elvis is being fostered in Gurnee IL. My name is Bandit but my foster mom calls him Nugget is 11 lbs.  I love to play also but I am also very happy just sitting on your lap or next to you and observe.  I love giving kisses. My brother's name is Smokey but my foster mom calls me Scout (the one with white on the back of my neck), I weigh 11 lbs and I am very investigative.   As you can see we are small but can hold our own even with the big dogs. Our father was Mini Australian Shepherd and mom was a Jack Russell Terrier. We love to go for walks on the leash in the neighborhood to explore. We are between 4 and 5 months old. Smokey/Scout: I love to play and check things out!  I give kisses when you catch me.  I can also be a little bit sneaky, so if there is a big enough hole I am brave and will slip right through there to explore! Check us out, we would love to find our forever home! We are located in Gurnee IL. We are up to date on our vetting plus neuter set for Oct 23rd.
