Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   LOYAL LIVELY LOVING   LUKE is a 3 year old PB Small Standard Tricolor Australian shepherd, he’s about 42 lbs.    Luke is crate-trained, has a moderate energy level but definitely LOVES his daily outside time. Typical of the breed he is eager to please.   Luke knows basic commands like sit, stay, roll over, and paw.  He is neutered, microchipped & current on all shots.   Luke was said to exhibit anxiety in new situations but DASH has had him in two different foster homes all summer so we could say with confidence he settled into both homes easily.    Luke is very treat-motivated and praise-trained; he warms up to people who show him affection and praise him a lot   DASH is looking for a moderately active home for Luke; he originally came to DASH from a home with small children and they were the cause of his anxiety so we want a mature owner / home for him now. Like all new dogs Luke needs to decompress awhile in his new environment but he definitely enjoys being outdoors.   Luke has been living with multiple dogs at both DASH homes. He’s interacted well with our own dogs and other fosters; he may not show it immediately but he does love playing with other dogs and will get the zoomies, race around, tackle and mix it up well.   Luke is house-trained and does not need a crate. He is not destructive and can be left free in the home especially with another dog. One of his quirks is he does Not like to be behind a closed door if he knows his humans are home.   Luke is extremely smart, eager to please and was very well-trained on commands: sit, stay, shake. He needs to brush up on commands like: sit pretty, give me 10, right, left, jump, Target and find it.   Luke was very well leash-trained however while in our homes at DASH we don’t do a lot of leash walking; when you have multiple dogs to care for they play together outside and especially in the summer we keep them indoors.    Luke does really enjoys his walks and will love exploring parks and hiking trails once he’s secure with his new people.   We would love to see Luke go to an Aussie-Experienced family who has another dog of similar age and size as a companion. He was an only-dog before coming to DASH and he wasn’t socialized outside of the home. It was no one’s fault but he was bought during COVID so his first 2 years didn’t allow for many opportunities.   If you’ve been looking for a sweet, loyal medium-sized Aussie as a companion for a person or couple with a female or submissive male dog Luke could be perfect for you!    Please apply to set an adoption meeting on the website below, then please    TEXT:    KEVIN:  469-623-3999 & SARA:   214-549-9905   So we can check your app and get back to you!   www.dashdog.org   General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Story
MAGGIE IS A TRUE "HEINZ 57" DOG. Her DNA shows Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Lab, Siberian Husky, Miniature American Shepherd, and several others!! She is under two years of age and weighs about 52 pounds. She is only slightly above the "medium" size but she is TALL so we chose to put her in the "large" category. MAGGIE IS TRULY ONE IN A MILLION! She ADORES other dogs and we are hoping she will be adopted by an active family that has another SWEET and playful dog. We have videos we can send you of her playing! Maggie has such a loving temperament she would be find with children. As with most dogs that end up in rescue, she had a sad and unfortunate past. But someone stood up for her and we were able to send her to Wiggle Butt Academy to learn how to be a dog and to learn to trust people. For more information on this beautiful and sweet girl, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

GAINESVILLE, TEXAS: FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTION FOR MORE INFORMATION EMAIL US ASDRESCUE@GMAIL.COM Meet Clifford! Is he a handsome devil or what?! Clifford was facing euthanasia at a kill shelter and, even though he isnt an Anatolian, we felt compelled to save this sweet boy. Our best estimate is that Clifford is a Great Pyrenees x Australian Shepherd blend. Clifford's estimated DOB is March 2023. He currently weighs 65 lbs but he's pretty skinny under all that hair. He could use at least another 10 lbs. Clifford is neutered, heartworm negative and vaccinated. He appears to be in good health. Clifford is good with other dogs and is a very playful, energetic guy. He's housebroken and crate trained. Cliff does really well in his crate. He will do best with an active owner and may enjoy the company of another dog who is close to his size and energy level. Transport options are available depending on where you live. Please email us for more information. ___________________________________________________________________ NO LIVESTOCK EXPERIENCE Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions. Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.

Story
If you are looking for handsome, smart, sweet, as well as dog and people friendly then you might just be looking for Biscuit! Our natural poser is 50 pounds, approximately 16 months old, and a red and cream fluffy beauty!    Biscuit is a confessed toy hoarder and skilled basketball player! He enjoys a good game of fetch and when he tires makes a great office mate. He is, of course, crate, house and leash trained!  Biscuit's forever home needs a fenced yard and another playful female dog as well as an adopter home more than not. A working from home parent who enjoys walking their pup is ideal.   To meet Biscuit in person submit our online application at www.DSDA.org/adopt.  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Story
Meet the lovely Ellie VI. She is a healthy 2 year old, Aussie/Lab mix that weighs 70 lbs. This sweet baby girl will be excited to meet her new loving family. Ellie is white/tan and has a blue eye and a brown eye. She is a lot of fun, playful, smart, energetic, clever, and loves affection. Ellie is an indoor dog, but she enjoys daily walks and playing outside with her family members. She is wonderful with nice people. She can be protective, but not aggressive. She may bark initially at strangers. Ellie strongly prefers to be the only pet in the house. She doesn't want to share the spotlight. She does not get along with other female dogs. She has never been around male dogs or cats. She has never been around small children either. But I can assure you, as an only pet she will be your best friend her entire life! Ellie has been spayed and microchipped, and all of her vaccines are up-to-date. Ellie is house-trained and leash-trained. She has never been in a crate. She is not used to being alone for more than 3 hours. Ellie was given to us by neighbors who moved away from this area. They were not able to take her with them. She was 4 months old at the time. So we have been taking care of her for almost 2 years. Unfortunately, we are an older couple who now deal with many more health issues. We have extreme difficulty caring for Ellie properly. We also have another female dog. We have to keep them separated, otherwise they fight often. This has become beyond stressful and costly. Although we love Ellie very much and will miss her sweet presence, it is critical to find her a caring new family soon. She is very lovable and a great companion. You will love Ellie! She will give you no choice. :) Please apply to adopt Ellie VI today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Ellie VI, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Remi is a smart, good boy! A 5-year-old 65-lb Australian Shepherd. Remi is shy at first, but extremely loving and personable after you meet him, and will follow you around everywhere. He just loves being around his people. He loves hugs, playing, and sniffing everything. Remi is up-to-date on all things medical and is good at being boarded. Remi has a high energy level, and he loves to play with toys and play chase. He is good with other dogs but may need an adjustment period, in the beginning, to become familiar with everyone. He can be a bit nervous when meeting new people and dogs, which means he will bark and run away before he gets used to the people or other animals. Remi loves his backyardâ&#194&#128&#194&#148and he needs a lot of running and playing throughout the day. He is a great cuddler once you get to know him. While he may bark in the beginning, as soon as he feels comfortable with you, he will be attached. He is also a good â&#194&#128&#194&#156alertâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 dog and will bark at strangers if they come close to the house or yard. As was mentioned, Remi does great at boarding, and playing with other dogs, and can be crated for short periods. He is smart and listens wellâ&#194&#128&#194&#148he knows â&#194&#128&#194&#156comeâ&#194&#128&#194&#157, â&#194&#128&#194&#156sitâ&#194&#128&#194&#157, â&#194&#128&#194&#156stayâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 and other basic commands, as well as he listens when you are trying to get him to go certain places (like, â&#194&#128&#194&#156go over here!â&#194&#128&#194&#157 etc). Ideally, Remi can find a home where owners have time and attention to spend loving him. Remi is a good boy, but he needs more attention than what we can currently provide him. With multiple young children, we find ourselves wishing Remi had a different environment where he could get more special attention and go on walks or play individually with us. We hope we can find him a home where he will get the attention he deserves. Remi is a great companion and will play with you and protect you with his whole being.
