Story
He’s a one-year-old 21 pound Australian Shepherd that was literally abandoned at the Mesquite Animal Shelter. He’s a happy-go-lucky boy that loves to romp, gallop, frolic, and run. This is what he did when he first got out into yard. It was very difficult to get photos of him since he was in constant motion. It seemed like he was on a mission. I’m wondering if he thought he could find his owners. At one point I had him on the leash and he did allow me to pet him, but as soon as I released him he was on the go again. He didn’t come when I called him. I don’t know if he knows the sit command. He did welcome other dogs with friendly tail wags. He did do his business in the yard. He did walk okay on a leash. My guess is that he hasn’t had much socialization and doesn’t know how it feels to be loved. This is something you could teach him. He would definitely need a yard. He would also need someone with patience to work with him. He seems like a sweet boy that doesn’t know that he needs love and affection ! He would definitely need an active family.

This pretty pup is Lila! We call her Lila Bee and she is the sweetest! Lila is an Australian Kelpie and loves to run. She really just wants to be a lap/sofa pup and because of her temperment and that she is quiet, we think she would also be a candidate for apartment living as well, AND WE NEVER SAY THAT. Lila is apprx 35 lbs., apprx 3 years old, fully vetted, and heartworm negative. She is leash trained and knows basic obedience commands. Lila also loves to ride in the car, so she would be a great companion for people that drive a lot. If you would like more information on Lila please send us an email or message. She will make someone or family a great little buddy!!
