Story
Loki is a big boy who was surrendered with his best friend Boss. He is a handsome Aussie/German Shepherd mix. He is a bit shy at first and loves being a house dog with family to keep him company. He was a well- loved boy whose family had to move and were not allowed to have dogs in the new place. Loki doesn`t enjoy kennel life in a shelter and longs for the freedom of a back yard and the adventures being part of a family can bring. Call us at 903-886-1160 if you would like to meet Loki and see if this big, neutered boy might be a good fit for your home.

Story
This is LG. The sweet boy was born feral and had to be trapped to be saved off the streets. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. It took LG a little while to warm up to people but he is on his way. He now walks on the leash and is trusting people, much due to the work of our volunteers. LG is Kacina's brother and is looking for a loving family that will provide him the love he so desperately deserves. LG was born around March 2015.If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
This gorgeous girl was dumped out on a county road to fend for herself. Thankfully we were able to save her. She is a darling girl of only about 35lb and is a gorgeous chocolate with white front socks. How cute is that! We think she is an Aussie mixed with something like Brittany or Husky. She lives with girls and boys of various sizes and ages and is just about perfect! She is Heartworm negative and waiting for her spay appt but can go home with you now!If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Daisy is part of a bonded pair, so we really want to try to keep her with her sister, Kilo (the black dog in the pics), also listed on Adopt-a-pet. In many ways having two dogs is easier than one, because they keep each other company and active! She and her sister are Australian Shepherds, so they are high energy and needs lots of room to play and run around! Daisy is 2 1/2 years old, about 50 pounds, very affectionate, cunning, sweet, and calm (well, for an Aussie!). Her dad is having some health and work issues and is unable to give them the home they deserve. We want to make sure she goes to the best home, so we will require a questionnaire to be filled out. The rehoming fee will be donated to charity. Thank you for looking and for considering Daisy!

Story
Kilo is part of a bonded pair, with Daisy (red tri in pics), also on Adopt-a-Pet. We would absolutely be thrilled if someone was willing to give Kilo and Daisy a home! Kilo is about 2 years old and 50 pounds. She is very motherly toward her sister, loves people, is sweet, and loves to be in the water! If you're not familiar with the breed (Australian Shepherd), please note they are high energy and needs lots of room to play! (One reason it's nice to have the two dogs together, since they wear each other out!) Her dad is heartbroken to give them up, but he is having health and work issues and is unable to give them the home they deserve. We will require a questionnaire to be filled out so we can make sure she's placed in the right home. The rehoming fee will be donated to charity. Thank you for looking and considering Kilo!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jan came from a ranch where she lived outdoors 24/7. Once she came into rescue, we tried moving her inside the house, but she really seems to prefer living outdoors. She currently lives in our free-standing garage, which has a room with kennels for 3 dogs, plus its own fenced yard. Jan gets along with other dogs and is very playful. She has always been one of the smaller dogs in any playgroup, but she definitely has no trouble keeping up with dogs who are twice her size. Jan has shown some food protection tendencies, and we deal with those by managing her location for eating. When she lived inside the house, she willingly went inside a wire crate for meals. When she lived in a paddock with a Great Pyrenees, we fed both dogs about 10' apart, and stayed nearby to make sure each dog was able to eat in peace. In her current living arrangement, Jan takes her meals in a 5' x 5' kennel. No matter where she eats, we pick up food bowls after each meal to be sure there's nothing to cause any fights. Jan has never shown any aggression toward people. But given her history of being abandoned on a ranch where she was the smallest dog, we think it's natural that she protects her food bowl from other dogs. She's still learning to trust that there will always be another meal offered. Jan is still young and enjoys shredding stuffed toys and bedding, so we have a heavy-duty (horse) stall mat inside her kennel to provide a cushion on the concrete floor. And we stick to hard toys (like Kong and Nylabone toys) rather than stuffies. She may outgrow this behavior as she matures. We're really unsure about Jan's breed/mix. She looks almost like a miniature Anatolian Shepherd, and with her naturally bobbed tail, she may have some Australian Shepherd in her DNA. She has double dew-claws so may have a Great Pyrenees in her family tree as well. She was rescued from a ranch where there were at least two Great Pyrenees, and a dog whose coat and coloring makes him look like a combination Pyr/Aussie/Anatolian. So it's reasonable to guess that any or all of those breeds are part of Jan's DNA. Story
Figgy was born and raised in a homeless camp. After repeatedly picking him up the shelter asked us if we could take him. He has clearly been loved because he is super sweet. Sadly, his previous owners just couldn't keep him confined and members of the community were becoming frustrated with all of the dogs that were running wild. Figaro is about a year old and an absolute joy to be around. He is very much a people dog but loves playing and interacting with the other foster dogs here. He seriously wants to be a lap dog and is always happy and excited to get to be near his person. Figgs is completely crate trained. We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. Our adoption fee goes towards covering age appropriate shots, dewormer, heartworm test, rabies shot, microchip, and spay/neuter! To learn more please feel free to message us at caninekarmarescue@gmail.com or fill out our application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CKR/Dog Our adoptions are not conducted on a first come first served basis and we work to find the best home for each dogs individual needs.
