Unfortunately, circumstances changed, and her family made the difficult decision to return her. This sudden turn of events left Daisy heartbroken and bewildered, as her familiar world crumbled around her. Now, in a new environment, Daisy is in the process of adapting to her changed circumstances. As we uncover more about Daisy's personality and journey, her bio and photos will be updated to reflect the resilient and lovable spirit that defines her.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Mars is a purebred Australian Shepherd who’s been with our family since he was a puppy. He’s a very intelligent dog and knows commands such as sit, down, spin, and touch. His favorite game and form of exercise has always been frisbee catch. He’s always been an indoor dog, and he’s both kennel and house trained. At this point in our lives, we both have careers and have three small children who take a majority of our time. Mars is certainly great with the kids (and very patient with the toddlers). Unfortunately, this leaves little time for us to exercise him and give him the attention he deserves. That is why we’ve decided to find him a new home. We feel he will find more happiness and bring the same joy he provided to the right family. Mars would do great in a home where is he welcomed inside. He is not a fan of other dogs until he gets to know them. A simple 20 minutes of fetch, 2 meals a day, and a good belly scratch will keep him happy.

Story
Chai was adopted from the local shelter in August 2020 when my teenaged son was experiencing high anxiety. She will sit or lay down to be petted all day if someone wants to snuggle and will also run fast with an active teen. She can sit, lay down, roll over & jump for a treat. Chai never barks unless something is really going on. This dog lives to give & receive love (& chase bunnies.) We moved into a condo with no yard and it worked with 2 of us there, but my son left for college in Aug. I'm often away for 12-16 hours, and feel bad for the dogs trapped inside. They have begun to refrain from drinking water until I come home at night because they know they cant go out and I am very worried about the health problems this will cause. Chai is very patient and willing to wait through the workday for someone to come home & love her & play with her. Her brother is Rhino, a min pin mix, and they are good together, but also okay to be separated. All shots & meds up to date.

Story
My 4yr old dog Leo is a tricolor toy Australian shepherd. Hes a good boy but requires a lot of patience, attention and stimulation. I got Leo a week before Covid lockdown began. I was unable to socialize him much and by the time we could go back to parks, he didnt care for other dogs. Over time, he has became reactive towards other dogs. Hes bitten me on two seperate occasions while I attempted pulling him away from an interaction with another dog that was passing by us on our walk. I have tried training him myself but Im not a professional and due to my schedule Im unable to be consistent enough with it. I also dont have the means to pay for training. He is crate trained and house trained. He also knows a few commands and is neutered. His favorite thing in the whole world is treats and playing fetch. Ive been going back and forth with this for a year now trying to figure out how to make it work but I feel defeated. He deserves a better life than I can give him.

Story
Cleo is a 4yr (30lbs) pure breed Mini Australian Shepherd. Endless play, sweet snuggles and fetch are her favorite past times. She prefers running around in the backyard over long walks. She is highly intelligent and very trainable if given the time. Unfortunately due to the expansion of our family we no longer have time Cleo requires on a daily basis. Cleo deserves a home where she can given the space and attention she deserves.
