Story
🌸 Meet Annie — Your High-Energy, Big-Hearted Bestie 🌸 Annie is the sweetest burst of energy you’ll ever bring home. She’s a young dog with true puppy energy and a huge love for her people. Annie thrives on attention, closeness, and being part of whatever you’re doing — she’s a certified velcro girl in the best way. She loves to play and has a big, enthusiastic play style, which is why she’ll do best in a home with kids 7+ or adults who enjoy an active, lively companion. Walks, backyard ball throwing, and general adventuring are right up her alley. When the day winds down, Annie flips the switch into cuddle mode and happily sleeps on the bed with her person. Important placement notes: 🏡 Annie needs to be an only pet — she is not comfortable living with other dogs or cats long-term. While she has played well with a foster sibling, we are not comfortable placing her in a home with existing pets. 🦴 Annie is also a chewer and will happily destroy unattended items like shoes, kids’ plush toys, and holiday décor. Puppy-proofing and appropriate chew outlets will be important for her success. Her previous family made the heartbreaking decision to rehome her when their senior, 12-year-old dog could no longer share space comfortably, and a few scuffles occurred. Annie has shown she does best when her environment is structured, enriched, and centered around her. ✨ Potty trained ✨ Crate trained ✨ Doggie-door savvy ✨ Loyal, playful, affectionate Annie has so much joy and love to give and will absolutely flourish in a home that matches her energy and sets her up for success. If you’re looking for a devoted, fun-loving companion who wants to be your shadow, your hype girl, and your cuddle buddy — Annie might be your perfect match. 💛🐾

Story
🐾 Meet Blanco (Blonkies if you’re a close friend) 30 lbs • Double Merle • Crate + Potty Pro • Dog-Friendly • Certified Snuggle Monster Blanco is that perfect mix of adventurous outside, cuddle-sloth inside. He LOVES to snuggle, LOVES treats even more, and LOVES using his whole body to express joy — which is adorable, but yes, we’re politely working on the “no launching myself onto humans” rule. Millennial enthusiasm, you know? He’s curious, goofy, playful, and honestly kind of hilarious. Walks? He’s obsessed. Leash skills? We’re getting there. Crate time? He settles in after a bit of “I would like to speak to the manager” whining and then snoozes like a champ. Blanco is likely deaf, so he thrives with hand signals, gentle wake-ups, and a human who gets that different doesn’t mean difficult. He’s smart, routine-oriented, and will sprint into his crate if you even think about grabbing a treat. He’s still learning what’s a chew toy vs. what’s… not. But bathroom accidents? None. Zero. Gold star student. 💙 A quick but important note: Blanco is a double merle, meaning he has special needs caused by irresponsible breeding practices. Double Merle Aussies are the result of a genetic defect from improper breeding of 2 Merle colored Aussies. This creates a genetic cocktail of potential issues with hearing, vision, and neurological. While they are easily trained using hand signals, voice commands, or even vibrating colors, not all defects necessarily present themselves early on. Committing to these dogs now means committing to consistent checkups around the potential defects and care should something present itself in the future.  Dogs like Blanco shine when given structure, patience, and love. If you want a quirky, snuggly, food-motivated adventure buddy who will absolutely become your whole personality, Blanco is your guy. 🏡 Apply to adopt at ntxaussierescue.org/adopt

Story
Meet Penny — the 8–9 month old Mini Aussie mix who’s equal parts sunshine, sass, and snuggles. At around 21 lbs, she’s the perfect fun-sized adventure buddy. Penny came to us a bit underweight after her time in the shelter, but with good food, love, and structure, she’s filled out beautifully and is so ready for her forever family. From her foster: Penny walked into our home and immediately won everyone over. She’s crazy smart, picks up new cues quickly, and is already walking politely on a leash. Meals? A full-body experience. She treats every bite like it’s a gourmet event and does the cutest little “this is delicious!” wiggle. She adores her foster brothers — Hardy, the calm mentor, and Jordy, the high-energy Border Collie who matches her zoomies stride for stride. They wrestle, fetch, chase, and entertain each other until they flop into a cuddle pile. After playtime, Penny becomes a world-class snuggler, happily curling up with her foster mom while she works from home. Crating: Zero issues. She sleeps calmly through the night in her crate, no fuss. Mornings: Expect a three-dog, two-human cuddle fest before coffee. Kids: She met kids during Halloween and thought they were awesome. Cats: Hasn’t met any yet, but she’s curious and open to learning. Her foster dad jokes he’d adopt her in a heartbeat — but he knows this special girl has a family waiting just for her. Penny is affectionate, bright, eager to learn, and full of joyful energy. If you’re looking for a young dog who brings laughs, loyalty, and the perfect amount of Aussie sparkle… Penny might just be your girl. Apply at ntxaussierescue.org/adopt

Story
Meet Wedge! I’m an eight-year-old boy weighing 21 pounds. I’m housebroken, crate-trained, and I can even use a doggie door! Now, let me tell you what I love and don’t love. I absolutely adore traveling, camping, small hikes, and walks. I love people-watching at dog-friendly patios and watching whatever catches my eye on TV. I’m not a night owl and love to go to bed early. I’m happy to sleep in my bed, but I’m always up for an invite to share yours. On the other hand, I don’t like being around a lot of people in small spaces. And I’m not a fan of little people in my face. I’m more of the quiet and reserved kind of guy. I like other dogs that are my size and calm. (I’m not sure how I feel about cats.) And I’m not really into giving kisses. But if you’re up for showering me with kisses and love, I’m all ears!If you’re looking for a good, loving, and quiet handsome little guy, swipe right and let’s meet!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
