Story
A very handsome dog, Linus is a great dog we really would love to keep, but due to work and travel schedules we are not making him happy. Our daughter originally had him on property with lots of room. He had a blast there, but he and his buddy dog, Lucy, were more than she could handle with her small family. We thought we could make it work, but he would be happier with a little more attention. He rarely barks, sheds just a little hair (requires trimming) and loves to be petted, loved, and played with. He'll follow you from room to room and look at you with his very sad eyes. He's always been very loyal and protective, but gentle; especially with kids and babies. He is trained for invisible fence and stays close by the house. He’s good at chasing the ball and loves to go for walks and sniff the neighborhood. Linus was just groomed with a trim and all shots. He is nervous around other dogs and at the groomers, but once he gets to know you (or neighbor dogs) is very friendly.

Story
Kara is a sweet but anxious and reactive girl. She needs lots of exercise and someone who can work on training her to be less reactive around other people. I am not able to give her the time she deserves and I have not been successful in training her. She is gaining weight because she is not getting the regular walks she needs to stay healthy. She does react to strangers, especially men, and she shows signs of aggressiveness (hackles up, growling, nipping) but she has not hurt anyone, yet. I adore her but I want her to have a home where she gets lots of attention and exercise and someone who can help her with her anxiety and reactivity. I have a personalized harness and two crates to go with her as well. She is about 3 years old, up to date in shots and in good health though starting to get a bit overweight. She seems to have some pretty serious trauma in her past so I want to find a good home that will give her the love and attention she deserves.

Story
Indy was the littlest puppy in a litter of 12. He was born in Feb 2024. He is a mixed breed - genetic testing shows Australian Shepherd (mini and regular), Great Pyrenees, Pit Bull, and other terrier. He is crate/kennel trained, leash/harness trained (doesn’t like to be on leash with his collar), follows all major commands easily and with joy. Responds VERY well to treats and routine training. He loves to tug on rope toys, play fetch, and soccer. Our family is grown up, VERY busy, and rarely home. He deserves a young family who will interact and play with him regularly. He is sweet natured, gentle, loyal and obedient but he needs more interaction than we can give. We want him to be in a home where he will be an integral part of a family. He deserves that. He’s a really good dog!

Story
Meet Alice, our darling brown and white girl that has the most memorable face and sky high ears you have ever seen.   This girl was born around the middle of May and is thought to be combination of lots of breed influences.   For starters we think that Cattle Dog and Aussie might be a mixture that are dominant for her.  She is one smart little girl that adorable her foster family and all the other big dogs (several German Shepherds are her mentors and big sisters) and many foster cats are present as well in the home.  Her boundless happy puppy energy catapults her through the days as she grows in to a true beauty inside and out.  She is so playful and loving and always ready for the next BIG ADVENTURE!  She loves to chase toys and explore the backyard for new things to do and maybe a few squirrels to make friends with.  She absorbs whatever you teach her like a sponge.  Her foster mom is an excellent trainer and knows the importance of teaching manners and commands.  Her friendly nature makes her easy to meet new people and she is does not shy away from new experiences either.  She is a snuggler when she is tired and very loving as she sits beside you to watch a good TV show.  This girl will be an excellent recall pup since she is learning that now and is so eager to please and be with her humans.  If you are interested in this beauty who will grow to be a 45-50 pound girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Let us know where you live: city and state when you are inquiring. Story
Meet Archer, a puppy who had a rough start in life but hopefully will never know any more bad times. We don't really know much about his past but he acts as though people were not kind to him. Archer is learning that not everyone is mean and he is now enjoying learning about life! He is in our jail program and the girls in there are helping to bring him out of his shell. This sweet soul embodies gentleness and calmness, making him the perfect companion for those seeking a serene presence in their lives. Archer may be shy and a bit timid at first, but once he warms up to you, he's all about giving and receiving affection. He's a mellow pup who would love nothing more than to spend his days in the comfort of a loving home. With his tender nature, Archer is sure to bring a soothing ambiance to any household.
