Current Location: Manchester, MD Hello! My name is Sparky! I’m a super sweet and loving pup. I’m 3 months old and about 15lbs. My foster mom thinks I will be around 50lbs full grown. We think I’m an Australian shepherd mix. I have the most stunning green eyes and the softest fur. I’m a pretty mellow pup and I’m not super high energy. I do well with my foster mom’s human kids. My foster mom describes me as a more mellow pup who isn’t super crazy or bitey. I am doing well with potty training but need a little more follow up. I'm searching for... * someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hrs, at least not until I am older. The older I am the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quick and when I'm bored I could get in trouble. * I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun! * I saved the most important for last. Wyatt is available through Animal Rescue, Inc in New Freedom, PA. He would love a home with at least one other dog to play with all day, its actually a must for him. Wyatt loves to play tug with his buddies when they aren`t chasing each other around the large fenced yard. He is about a year old and has a lot of energy, so a job of some sort would be great. Wyatt does tend to herd other dogs and likes to play with your hands, though we have been working on that, so older kids/teens would probably be best. He loves to drink water as your pouring it. Wyatt sleeps in his crate at night, which provides a break for his companions too, but he does like to just chill in there off and on during the day too. He can take a bit to warm up to men, but mine have found that collagen puff treats help a lot. Wyatt is eager to please and recently attended a board and train, so it is important that his new family will continue to reinforce what he learned there so he can be his very best self.

Ryder is an excellent dog who requires a lot of attention and plenty of exercise. He is 5 years old and is full of energy. He is a pretty good listener and is not a runner - he would much rather be by your side than run off. He may run in circles or dash off but he is always right back by your side within minutes. He LOVES to play fetch and will do so until he runs out of steam. He listens pretty well and knows several commands like sit, lay down, roll over, and is very much food rewarded. He has been good with our kids, but recently he did bite my wife when she was attempting to remove a hair ball from him while he was eating. We do not think he is an aggressive dog, but this did make us think that maybe he shouldn't be around our small children. I truly think in the right home/environment he will be a wonderful pet. He does require a lot of attention and walks.
