Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Northampton, PA Meet Venom! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd mix (the other breed is unknown) and weighs 60 lbs. He is up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t neutered. Venom is nervous around strangers and will sometimes growl at first! He is good with kids! He hasn’t been tested around cats. He doesn’t live with other dogs, but is good with dogs outside of the home! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Venom bit the owner’s son twice. The first incident occurred after her son hit him on the head with a toy for second time after Venom growled at him for doing it the first time. The second incident occurred after her son placed a toy on his head. The owner has told her son not to do that, but he keeps rough housing with Venom. She is surrendering him because of the bite incidents. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Venom, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Venom. Have you ever seen such a strikingly handsome fellow? His unique coloring and that soft fluffy coat just makes me melt! He is a sweetheart for sure…great natured, happy, loveable and friendly. He is also pretty outgoing and fairly active and he enjoys running around and playing with his buddies and toys. If you’re looking for a running or hiking buddy, he should fit the bill. Max seems to love everybody he meets, grownups as well as older kids, but given his size and activity level, he might be too much for little kids. He does not do well with chickens or cats. Max is one year old (dob 10/22/23) and weighs 50 pounds. He has been neutered, 4DX microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $400. Max is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted he will be transported to his pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and his fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine on him since we can’t adopt directly to those states.
