Look at this stunning boy! Koda is a 4 -year-old Australian Shepherd mix who weighs 48 lbs. Koda came to us from another rescue after being picked up as a stray. Boy, is he a sweetheart! Koda is extremely friendly, adores being around people, and especially loves getting pets and receiving hugs. He doesn’t really enjoy the company of other dogs though. He isn’t aggressive but is aloof and is disinterested in playing. For this reason, we recommend Koda be the only dog in the home. He can be cat-tested upon request. Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier. Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home. She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate. She is not leash trained but is trying to improve. We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day. Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her. She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands. Sweet Skye Man has come to us as one of three Aussie mix older pups that are still impressionably young at just 8 months and 19 pounds. This handsome, yet shy boy, is looking for a family that will fill his soul with love and affirmation and confidence building lessons every day. He and his siblings were raised in an outdoor kennel with little to no love and attention. They were merely fed, but yet eventually were released to our Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom. Skye Man is a sponge for life lessons and he is so receptive to human touch and love. He is the smaller pup from his litter of three that we have in our care now. He is comfortable in a crate, but needs leash training. There's so many exciting experiences and a wonderful family waiting for him out there. Meet our new Critter Cavalry beauty, Amazing Astrid! She is a 6 month old, purebred, Australian Shepherd girl who weighs 30 lbs and is seeking an Australian Shepherd savvy family with a fenced yard. She thought she had found her fur-ever home, but it didn't go as planned. Her parents were older and they wanted to get an Aussie puppy after their last one passed away from old age. Unfortunately Astrid had quite a bit more energy than they could handle. What is even more unfortunate is that she accidentally got under her human mom's feet and caused her to fall, breaking her arm in three places. It was soon apparent that they were not suited at their age for such a young and vibrant puppy. They lovingly released her to Critter Cavalry foster care and we are now seeking a younger more appropriate family and home. She was on a farm with chickens, ducks, and goats and does well with all of them. She also gets along with cats, other dogs, and children. Her Foster's children have fallen in love with her, the 5 year old declared, 'She is the best dog I have ever met.' He really likes how she shows him affection and attention but doesn't jump on him and overwhelm him. We have only just gotten Cowboy 11 NOV so we still are learning about him but we can tell you he is very sweet and loves human attention. He is good with dogs but we haven't had him long enough to evaluate him with cats or other animals. He does not like to be confined at our Vet's Office in their kennels which is where he is now. He is not destructive but does not want to go back into his kennel when he goes out into the open yard. Please consider this sweet boy as a new member of your family. We will update his bio when we have had him little longer. He is uptodate on all vaccinations, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is healthy and ready for a forever home. He only has a small cut above his right eye which is almost healed. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog.
