While his family cared for them deeply, they simply couldn’t take them in, leaving these sisters at a crossroads in the midst of their grief. In this time of heartbreak, Abby and Lilly only have one constant left to hold onto: each other. We were grateful to have a foster family willing to make space for them so we could keep them out of the shelter. They are currently settling in and leaning on one another as they start this unexpected journey toward a new beginning. Despite all the changes around them, they have been nothing but sweet! Lilly is forward friendly and has loved asking for attention from her humans. Abby is more chill and go-with-the-flow. They are sharing their foster home with other dogs and cats and get along with everyone. They enjoy cuddles, rides in the car, and just being loved. We know that somewhere out there, a new chapter will be waiting for them—one where they can stay together and be cherished just as much as they were by their dad. I'm learning to walk on leash, walk up steps and I'm trying my best to go potty outside or on pee pee pads. I sleep in a crate at night and I don't even make a peep! I love stuffies and playing tug. Mable gets along wonderfully with other animals — she’s great with her foster fur brother and even does well with the resident cat. She’s a joyful, wiggly girl who walks nicely on leash, enjoys car rides, and loves spending time outside with a good stick to chew on.
