Story
Meet River, ARPH #14663, an 18 month old neutered red tri male with a higher energy level. He’s up to date on shots and preventatives; is housebroken, crate trained, and has been very good in his crate at night or when left alone at his foster home. River came to ARPH through no fault of his own from a home with two other dogs and a couple cats. Originally adopted from a shelter, he got along well with his doggy sister, but the older, intact male dog did not appreciate having River around. The situation was escalating, and the owners made the hard decision to find River a new home. River LOVES Frisbee, fetch, toys, and according to his former owners, he also loves to swim. He loves being around his people and learning new things. He already knows sit, down, shake, let it go; roll-over. River has a consistent recall when he’s not distracted by the squirrels. He was seldom on leash in his previous home, so his leash manners are a work in progress. He’s a very quick learner though, and very food motivated. He is getting used to the leash and is learning to wait before going out the door. River would do well in a home with a female playmate or as an only dog. He did live with dog savvy cats but tended to resource guard with them. No children under 16. The right home would have a traditionally fenced yard and would be someone willing to take the time to continue River's training. He definitely needs regular, consistent exercise and might be able to do dog sports or tricks. He'll be a wonderful companion and a lot of fun in the right home. River is fostered in southeast PA. Are you the perfect home for River? If so and you are already approved, please contact Kay at bluedawg7@gmail.com If interested and have not yet been approved, please submit an application for adoption at www.aussierescue.org

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 11, 2024, 7:28 pm

Story
Sweet Skye Man has come to us as one of three Aussie mix older pups that are still impressionably young at just 8 months and 19 pounds. This handsome, yet shy boy, is looking for a family that will fill his soul with love and affirmation and confidence building lessons every day. He and his siblings were raised in an outdoor kennel with little to no love and attention. They were merely fed, but yet eventually were released to our Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom.  Skye Man  is a sponge for life lessons and he is so receptive to human touch and love.  He is the smaller pup from his litter of three that we have in our care now. He is comfortable in a crate, but needs leash training.  There's so many exciting experiences and a wonderful family waiting for him out there. All he needs to have is the moment he is discovered and someone contacts Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to ask if they can adopt him. We know that day is coming soon. He is fully vetted and neutered and ready to hop on the van to the home in the Northeast region or to just merely meet a new family in Tennessee where he resides currently. If you were interested please email us at the address we just gave.  Be sure to let us know where you live, city and state. We will be quickly responsive.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 12, 2024, 10:09 pm

Story
Meet Alice, our darling brown and white girl that has the most memorable face and sky high ears you have ever seen.   This girl was born around the middle of May and is thought to be combination of lots of breed influences.   For starters we think that Cattle Dog and Aussie might be a mixture that are dominant for her.  She is one smart little girl that adorable her foster family and all the other big dogs (several German Shepherds are her mentors and big sisters) and many foster cats are present as well in the home.  Her boundless happy puppy energy catapults her through the days as she grows in to a true beauty inside and out.  She is so playful and loving and always ready for the next BIG ADVENTURE!  She loves to chase toys and explore the backyard for new things to do and maybe a few squirrels to make friends with.  She absorbs whatever you teach her like a sponge.  Her foster mom is an excellent trainer and knows the importance of teaching manners and commands.  Her friendly nature makes her easy to meet new people and she is does not shy away from new experiences either.  She is a snuggler when she is tired and very loving as she sits beside you to watch a good TV show.  This girl will be an excellent recall pup since she is learning that now and is so eager to please and be with her humans.  If you are interested in this beauty who will grow to be a 45-50 pound girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Let us know where you live: city and state when you are inquiring. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 17, 2024, 1:17 pm

Story
We have only just gotten Cowboy 11 NOV so we still are learning about him but we can tell you he is very sweet and loves human attention. He is good with dogs but we haven't had him long enough to evaluate him with cats or other animals. He does not like to be confined at our Vet's Office in their kennels which is where he is now. He is not destructive but does not want to go back into his kennel when he goes out into the open yard. Please consider this sweet boy as a new member of your family. We will update his bio when we have had him little longer. He is uptodate on all vaccinations, microchipped neutered and heartworm negative. He is healthy and ready for a forever home. He only has a small cut above his right eye which is almost healed. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted.
