Story
MERCURY Breed: Australian Shepherd Gender: Male Approximate DOB: 3/11/2019 Size: Medium Weight (Potential): 40 (40) Color: White and blue merle Health: IBS, General anxiety and separation anxiety, crystals in bladder, on prescription food for GI issues and daily medications to manage anxiety. Shedding: Moderate Grooming Needs: Moderate Spayed/Neutered: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Unknown Good with Children: No Appropriate for city living: No A secure, physical fence is required. Adopters must live within 30 miles of King of Prussia, PA. Mercury is as sweet as he is handsome and at a young age he had to overcome quite a bit. He was born in a Pennsylvania puppy mill and rescued at 17 weeks of age. He was frightened and had no idea how to live in a home. Over time with a lot of veterinary care, we have found a diet that agrees with his GI system and have worked with our trainer and veterinary behaviorist to manage and treat his severe anxiety. He is a work in progress but has improved with the help of medication. H will likely need medication and prescription food for the rest of his life and will need someone to monitor the crystals in his bladder so he does not develop a blockage which can usually only be fixed with surgery if things get too severe. Mercury loves to play with toys and monitor the yard for "intruders" like birds and squirrels. He needs a very secure, solid 6-foot fence to contain him (he is a climber, jumper and digger) as he needs a yard to burn off his energy but gets a bit overwhelmed on leash walks (this is a work in progress, too). He will flash a huge smile when he greets you and will pretend that he is a tiny lap dog as soon as you sit down. He likes to watch TV but also is really good at catching a ball. Mercury needs a very loving and patient adopter who has an adult-only home and is willing to manage his medical and behavioral issues all while helping him build his confidence. He isn't a dog for the faint of heart, but he will make yours skip a beat as soon as he gives you a hug. *All dogs will go through a transition period after finding a new home and may need a “refresher course” in house-breaking. Story
Sophie is a 3 year old spayed female aussie who weighs 42 pounds. This group of dogs were rescued from freezing conditions, where they had no shelter and literal icicles on their fur. These pups are loving their new life in the heat, with nice comfy beds and they snuggle up with each other every night. Previously, they lived around other dogs and kids without a problem and they are going to make wonderful family additions. Story
hi Roxie, this sweetheart is a 4 year old Australian shepherd mix. She was surrendered to our care from a breeding farm in Lancaster when they were no longer wanted. She is 44 lbs. Originally very scared, Roxie truly comes to life when around the volunteers. She turns into a sweet and affectionate dog that just wants to be close to us. Per her prior owners, she is great with kids, has been around cats, does well with most dogs. She has livestock/farm animal experience and typical of her breed, has high energy. She has been allowing us all handling without an issue. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, 4dx tested. **If you are serious about adoption, please start by filling out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $450** Phoenix Animal Rescue Chester Springs, PA Kennel License #5152

WE CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY NO ONE WANTS TO ADOPT MOLLY! Some of Molly's adoption fee has been sponsored since she is a black dog she is less likely to get adopted just like her sister. She really is the sweetest pup! Molly from the Bubble guppies litter is still hoping to find her fur-ever home! She is an adorable 13-week-old Australian Shepherd mix puppy looking for her family! She is UTD on vaccines and monthly preventatives. She weighs 17lbs. Molly is a bundle of joy she is full of puppy energy and lots of love. Molly is a curious and playful pup who loves to explore and cuddle. She is food motivated and would love to learn as long as treats are involved. With her Australian Shepherd heritage, she's likely to grow into a smart and loyal companion. We were told Molly's dad might have been a Coonhound mix, which could explain her adorable floppy ears and nose for adventure! Here are some key details about Molly: - Age: 14 weeks - Breed: Australian Shepherd mix Mom (possible Coonhound mix dad) - Size: Expected to grow to medium size (maybe 35-50 lbs) - Vetting: UTD on vaccines and monthly preventatives - Personality: Playful, a little shy, , affectionate, and energetic - Training: Started with potty training and learning to sit. Story
We adopted Dash after her person died young and rapidly from a brain tumor. She was then fostered with other dogs, but was too excitable and her herding instincts made that situation impossible. We have had her for two years, and are unable to give her the attention she needs. She is very nervous and reacts to people and other dogs. She herds me by nipping at my feet if I leave the house, yet is not aggressive, just unable to be trained to not herd. She barks at all deliveries etc. She needs a home where she can get exercise and attention. She responds to her name and several commands, and is clearly intelligent. She is difficult because she is excitable and can loose control in situations, such as a person approaching, especially our house.

Please contact Denise at 610-656-1291 (Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in New Castle, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 610-656-1291 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 March 6, 2025, 1:00 pm
