Story
This little cutie is Monica! Monica is an approximately 15-month old female Aussie/Labrador mix who weighs around 40 lbs. She was rescued from a neglectful situation. Monica is a playful and happy girl! She is affectionate and loves to play with other dogs and toys. She has been around small children and did great! She is more on the submissive side when playing with her sibling. Monica knows basic commands. Monica would love a home with another playful dog or where she can get lots of attention and playtime. She needs a securely fenced yard. Monica is house-trained to a doggy door. She is crate-trained. She continues to make progress with her leash training. Monica is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225. To adopt Monica, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.

Story
Meet Speckles (aka Spot) a 2 year old Australian Shepherd mix that is being fostered in Stilwell, OK! Speckles would make a great companion to any forever home! Speckles would be great sports dog but can Netflix & Chill with the best of them! Speckles loves all people and has potential to be trained to be a therapy dog as he has a very calm demeanor and is easy to work with. Speckles loves puzzles and chew bones! He’ll need reinforced training as he has selective hearing at time! Speckles is a incredibly sweet dog and and deserves a loving FUREVER home! Speckles can be placed in a home with FEMALE dogs but due to his high prey drive Speckles will NOT be placed in a home with small animals like cats. If he sounds perfect for you, here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoptions There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Meet Tiberius Riker, Ty for short. He is 4 years old and 55 lbs and looking for his forever family. Ty was originally with our rescue as a puppy and was adopted. Sometime later his adopter moved across the country with Ty (he went by a different name then) and sadly ended up with a new person in the home who was abusive and cruel to Ty for years. Thankfully his adopter reached out to return him to us and he has been in an incredible foster home, getting the time, patience, and love he needed to heal and recover. He's come leaps and bounds and is ready for the next big step in his journey. Ty is a goofy, silly, sweet, and chill guy. He LOVES going on his walk in the morning. Ty actually needs a morning walk to relieve himself. He will go in the backyard but isn’t very keen on it. He walks beautifully on a leash/harness. As a side note, a harness is required for Ty. Part of his abuse was being yanked and pulled by his neck using a lead. He’s fully crate trained and house trained. Ty isn’t the kind of dog who will play with toys or chase other dogs. He much prefers to lay next to you on the couch and watch Law and Order and Chopped. He really likes Chopped! If the couch is full, he’ll just plop down under your feet. He wants to be close to his person. He barks when he gets excited for his walk or when he wants a snack (he loves carrots and apples the best). Otherwise, he’s super quiet. He loves getting belly rubs. He tolerates being brushed. He hates having his toenails trimmed. Ty came to us experiencing TERRIBLE allergies (with awful symptoms) and it took a bit to determine he has an allergy to most meats. He eats a vegetarian diet (his foster family currently makes him homemade grain/veggie meals) and gets Cytopoint allergy shots and is now itch and symptom free! The ideal person/family for Ty would be someone who works from home or is home often during the day. He was kept in a crate for 10-12 hours per day in his previous life and we don’t want him to go back to that way of living. His adopter needs to be able to financially afford his specialty food and his allergy shots. Those are non-negotiable. His adopter needs to commit to taking Ty on a walk every morning. Ideally, he would go to a home with another dog to keep him company but he would be just fine as an only dog. Because of Ty’s abuse, he can’t go to a home with small children. If there are children in the home, he would need children over the age of 10, who can respect his boundaries. Tiberius deserves the absolute best home where he can be spoiled, loved and treated with gentleness and kindness. For the rest of his life. If you feel that you can give Ty the home life he deserves, you can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application Ty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and preventative, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Bear will be three years old in February. He is crate trained, potty trained, obedient, very good with infants and children. He loves playing fetch and playing with other dogs but also really enjoys finding a nice place to nap. He is a very good boy, but with busy schedules we unfortunately aren’t able to give him the time and attention he deserves.
