Story
Allow us to introduce you to SPOT, the most adorable small 3 year old Aussie/Pittie mix who has been surrendered to our pound due to his owner's inability to care for him. SPOT is a petite guy, but while he may be small in stature, his heart is huge. SPOT loves everyone. He is good with cats, kids, and other dogs. Because he loves to play as much as he does (the world is his playground), if you have another dog that dog should love to enjoy romping and playing because SPOT is an in your face kind of playmate. His enthusiasm for life sometimes has him literally jumping for joy and that includes around kids. Of course, SPOT can be trained not to jump, but in the meantime, he might jump on little kids. SPOT has beautiful merle markings and one eye is marbled with blue which is caused by the same gene that creates the merle pattern that Aussies are famous for. If you are an active family, consider adding SPOT to your life because you won't be sorry you did. Harrison County Dog Pound. 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43950. Open: Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm; Saturday 9am-2pm; closed Sundays and holidays. Adoption applications are available at the pound or online at harrisoncountydogpoundvolunteers.org. Apple users must submit application using Google, not Safari. Out of state adoptions are welcomed. $40 adoption fee. 740-942-4080

Story
Meet Reggie 🐶. We named him Reggie after he got very used to being called Red, the color of his collar in a litter of nine puppies. Born from a well bread Black Tri Aussie Momma and a pure Red Murle Aussie Daddy who had an unplanned love affair. It was a relative's dog who had the puppies and we were gifted Reggie. We already had an Aussie who was a brother to the Mom of Reggie. Since then I have gotten a divorce and was diagnosed with 2 types of cancer. Reggie will be 5 years old in June. Unfortunately he is becoming restless, anxious and a bit naughty because I am unable to get him the exercise he needs due to my health. He does show food aggression with my other Aussie. But they typically get along. He needs a home where he gets lots of exercise and play. He is an amazing snuggler & hugger. He will want curl up with you to watch your favorite shows and follow you to the bathroom then steal your snacks. It will be very sad to say goodbye. But I know it's best for him. 💔

Story
Meet Harley: Your Future Professional Snuggler! Looking for a sidekick who is equal parts playful and precious? Meet Harley, a 14-week-old Australian Shepherd mix with a heart of gold and the softest ears in town. Her Personality Harley is a soulful girl who prefers to "read the room" before diving in. While she’s a little reserved at first meeting, don't let that fool you—once she knows she’s safe, she is an absolute Velcro dog. She finds her confidence through snacks and scratches, making her a dream for someone who enjoys earning a dog's trust. Harley’s Favorite Things • Cuddle Sessions: If there is an open lap or a cozy blanket, Harley will be there. She lives for affection. • Sibling Play: She finds her courage when playing with her brothers and sisters. She'd love a home with a confident doggy sibling to show her the ropes! • Toys & Treats: Harley is highly motivated by food (which makes training a breeze) and can entertain herself with a good squeaky toy for ages. The Ideal Home Because she’s a bit of a wallflower initially, Harley would do best in a home that understands the "slow and steady" approach. Since she is an Aussie mix, she is smart as a whip and will need mental stimulation as she grows. • Family Dynamic: Great for families with patient kids or a solo adopter looking for a loyal companion. • Activity Level: Moderate. She loves a good romp in the yard, followed by a long nap on your feet. Applications can be found at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog Pet Search KL#3301 Washington PA 15301

Story
Cutie in the house!! Meet Harper. This pint sized pup is full of fun!!! If she had a theme song it would be girls just wanna have fun. Harper is a nine month old Mini Australian Shepherd/Shiba Inu mix that looks like a foxy. At just 12 pounds she can easily travel everywhere you go. She will be under 20 pounds fully grown. She was surrendered due to the senior kitty in the house just not adjusting to her being there. She was interested in the kitty, but we are thinking she wanted to play. She is dog friendly as she frequently spent time at doggy daycare. Harper is house trained but is not crate trained so will need someone who will be patient with her. Harper is an active girl who would need daily exercise like walks. If you are looking for a pup to take on adventures, head over to the Bridge To Home Animal Rescue page for more information. Applications are found on the website and can be emailed to me at Tracey.bthar@gmail.com. BTHAR Washington PA Kl 16643

Story
Hi, my name is Olive. I’m the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. I love hugs. Like, put my arms around your neck and HUG you. I am super smart and have already learned to potty outside, sit, “kennel up” and much more. My foster mom has 2 kids, another dog and a cat. I’m so good with all of them although I don’t understand why the cat doesn’t want hugs. I’m trying hard to win her over though. Treats and naps are my favorite thing in the whole world. I started off life with my foster mom very skinny and I’m doing my best to fatten up a bit. I’m so excited to find my forever home. I’ll be your best friend! Local Only adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
