Story
Lexie is a 7 year old Austalian Shepherd mix. Full of energy, this incredibly sweet girl is looking for a life partner to explore with. she loves couch time with her favourite people. trying to read a book? well, be prepared to have a dog flipping every page for you, as she knows no personal space! Lexie would do best as an only dog and with kids 13+ years of age. she maybe super playful and full of energy, but she does enjoy her alone time.

Remington is approximately 7.5 years old and LOVES kids. He has not adapted well to our new home and needs a new environment. He’s smart, and FULL of energy. He definitely needs a place where he can be active and serve a purpose. We love him soooo much, but realize he needs a better opportunity to live life to the fullest.

Story
Smokey was born Jan 12th 2024, she was one out of a litter of 5 puppies. We got her March 23rd along with her brother. Here are the dates for her shots: 1st set 3/8, 2nd set 4/16 and 3rd set 5/16. She was spayed and chipped August 28th. She is now 10 months old. She is registered in portage county - for the next 3 years. We have tags for both. Her fur has come in nicely and is very soft. She has a little white goatee on her chin (brown hair on mouth) She is is the alpha between the 2 dogs. She loves attention and listens well to commands. We got 2 pups and they get very jealous when you show one attention, they want your full attention. They play aggressively and we feel that they would do better in separate homes. She is trained to use a doggie door and enjoys running around outside. She will let you know when someone is at the door with her bark. We would like to see her go to a home in which she would be the only pet for right now. She loves to jump, very curious.

Story
Cooper is a 4 month old mini Australian Shephard (no papers). I acquired him from a bad situation. Unfortunately my work life has taken a swing and I feel I do not have the time for him (or any puppy). Also my older dog has become quite agressive toward him because Cooper is so playful. He is a sweetheart and very affectionate. He should not grow to be more than 25 pounds. He will come with a large supply of puppy food, shot records, and a crate. He is microchipped which will be transferred to new owner. He is not neutered yet due to his age. It breaks my heart to do this, but I feel it will be better for him in the end. Adopter must be familiar with the Australian Shepherd breed, he will need extensive exercise long term. He is smart, but stubborn. Potty training is going ok, but again, mostly my fault because I suddenly do not have the time to watch him like I should. I would prefer a home visit, Facetime also an option.

Story
Nino, who will be one year old this December, is a sweet, loving, and energetic dog. He enjoys walks, playing fetch, running around outside, and getting belly rubs. He is always smiling, especially when treats are involved. I adopted Nino in early February from my cousin who fosters dog, and he has been a joy in my life. However, with my demanding schedule between work and college, I'm finding it difficult to give him the attention and care he truly deserves. This has been a tough decision to make, but I truly believe that rehoming Nino will allow him to get the love, time, and attention he needs to thrive. It's heartbreaking for me to let him go, but I know it's what's best for him.

Story
In Olmsted Township - Hey everyone! Let us introduce you to Mr. Max R. Roni. Max is an almost 7 year old Australian Shepherd. He’s had a sad past, losing his home, his mom and dad and now looking for a forever home to accept him as he is. It’s time for Max to find his furever home and thrive. Max came to ASF grossly overweight. He has been with his foster for several months trying to get some of his weight off and to help him be happy again. He’s lost a lot of weight already and is feeling much better. Max is a gentle old soul. When in the house, he’s pretty chill… he’ll find his spot and most of the time he’ll hang there alone. He will bring you his tennis ball (his FAVORITE toy) and wants you to toss it once he gives it to you. Max really loves butt rubs and being petted. He gets super excited to go outside and play ball or chase or catch a rolled Frisbee. When it’s time to quit, he just finds a spot to lay down. Max gets nervous on car rides and isn’t a fan. He’s very content staying at home. Walks are okay; he’s a bigger boy so he does pull some. Max is great left in the house all day: no accidents, no destruction. He does like the couch and would prefer to share your bed. Max has an issue with resource guarding toys… all toys belong to Max. Thus, a home with a submissive female or as an only dog would be best. His submissive 2 year old female foster sister Aussie plays chase with him but will drop any toy she has when Max comes near. He wasn’t nice the first time, so she just lets him have any toy. (The male Aussie in the house did not back down and this didn’t go well at all.) Due to his resource guarding, a home with small children would not be advised nor any dominant dog. Max is a sweet boy who just needs to find the right home. Someone to pet him on the couch, toss the ball for him once in while, take him out in the yard while you work or enjoy sitting and watching the day pass. Max is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, housebroken, crate trained, and on HW/flea prevention. He is currently being fostered in Olmsted Township, OH. There is an additional $20 fee to transfer his microchip to his new owners. All adoption fees go to help rescue other dogs like Max.
