Story
Butterscotch was born 2/10/26 with one underdeveloped eye. It doesn’t bother her one bit and doesn’t slow her down at all—she’s your typical happy, playful, fun-loving puppy. She is working on house, crate and leash training. Our vet has confirmed it’s purely cosmetic and does not need removal at this time. The adoption fee covers the spayed at our vet, microchip with lifetime registration, vaccinations (which include DHLPPC, Lyme, Bordetella & Rabies) dewormings and heartworm/lyme testing. If you are out of the area, you would be responsible to complete the vetting that has not been completed by the time of adoption. You can apply on our website:https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html  ***100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries. Please remember that  we are 100 % entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Cody.  He is simply gorgeous!  He is about 3 years old, up to date on vaccinations, has been neutered. He is Lyme positive and is on medication for that.  When he arrived his fur was overgrown and he was a matted mess.  We have gotten him shaved and he is so handsome now.  He is very clingy to you.  He doesn't like other dogs.  Cats don't seem to bother him.  He was house trained at one time, then he was tied outside and forgotten about basically.   He is new to us, so we will update as we get to know him better. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 13, 2026, 2:04 pm

Story
Meet Reggie 🐶. We named him Reggie after he got very used to being called Red, the color of his collar in a litter of nine puppies. Born from a well bread Black Tri Aussie Momma and a pure Red Murle Aussie Daddy who had an unplanned love affair. It was a relative's dog who had the puppies and we were gifted Reggie. We already had an Aussie who was a brother to the Mom of Reggie. Since then I have gotten a divorce and was diagnosed with 2 types of cancer. Reggie will be 5 years old in June. Unfortunately he is becoming restless, anxious and a bit naughty because I am unable to get him the exercise he needs due to my health. He does show food aggression with my other Aussie. But they typically get along. He needs a home where he gets lots of exercise and play. He is an amazing snuggler & hugger. He will want curl up with you to watch your favorite shows and follow you to the bathroom then steal your snacks. It will be very sad to say goodbye. But I know it's best for him. 💔

Story
Miniature Australian shepherds with a loyal heart and playful spirit. They were adopted from the same litter over eight years ago and have been together ever since. Life has become extremely busy and they deserve a better living situation. They are bright, eager to please, and will thrive in a home that can give them structure, attention, and the love they deserve. And ideal home for them would include adults or family with older, respectful children, a home with a fenced in yard, someone familiar with or willing to learn learn about about hurting breeds, and no cats or small animals. They can be adopted separately or together.
