Dillon is wondering why he hasn’t found his forever home yet—he’s perfect! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter. Meet Uncle Fester! This handsome 4-year-old Australian Shepherd mix has quite the story to tell. Originally adopted as a puppy from Louie’s Legacy, Uncle Fester recently found himself abandoned in the woods. Thankfully, a local shelter recognized him and contacted us right away—and we wasted no time bringing him back into rescue where he belongs. Despite all he’s been through, Uncle Fester’s heart is still full of love. He absolutely adores men—he completely melted for the dog warden who helped him—and he does well with women, too. He may be a little shy at first, which is understandable after the whirlwind of his past week, but once he warms up, he’s affectionate and loves all the pets and attention you’ll give him. Uncle Fester walks decently on a leash (though he can pull a bit when he’s excited) and enjoys car rides, where he sits back and watches the world go by. He’s also good with other dogs and was even found with a canine companion. We’re still getting to know this sweet boy, but one thing’s already clear—Uncle Fester is a gentle soul ready for his fresh start and a family who will never let him down again.
