Story
Leo is a very active 4 year old Australian Shepherd. We got him from a farm in Kentucky when he was 8 wks old. He’s a very loving boy who loves to go on walks, chase balls and chew on bones. He can be dog selective and tends to be more dominant. We love him very much but are looking to rehome him after he recently bit his owner. We are unsure what caused the bite as it wasn’t resource related. We are expecting our first child and can’t have another bite. He has been good with kids previously but for this reason I think he should be in a home without children.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Pixel – the Sweetest Soul with the Coolest Eyes in Texas! Pixel is a 2-year-old, 42-lb Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a uniquely colored coat that makes her as beautiful outside as she is inside! She’s gentle, easygoing, and about as drama-free as they come. If dogs had a “Most Likely to Be Everyone’s Favorite” award, Pixel would win it paws down. This lovely girl gets along beautifully with just about everyone—people, dogs, kids, new situations—you name it. She’s calm, confident, and refreshingly mellow for an Aussie mix. Think less “whirling devilish herding machine” and more “professional couch companion with occasional zoomies.” And let’s talk about those eyes! Pixel has one stunning blue eye and one soulful brown eye. According to urban legend, that means she can see things in heaven and on earth at the same time. Pretty cool superpower, right? Basically, she’s part dog, part magical guardian angel. Pixel also comes fully loaded with excellent house manners: • Crate trained ✔ • Housebroken with a dog door ✔ • Walks beautifully on leash ✔ • Polite, well-behaved house guest ✔ • Expert at giving soft, grateful looks ✔ She enjoys relaxed strolls, cozy naps, and being near her people. She’s the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into your life like she’s always been there. Now, cats are a hard no, sorry cat lovers, she’s not a fan (she believes they are tiny, suspicious aliens), so a feline-free home is a must. But with dogs and humans? She’s an absolute dream. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, go-with-the-flow companion who will make every day brighter just by existing in it, Pixel is ready to be your girl. Apply today and let this two-toned-eyed sweetheart see straight into your heart 💙🤎🐾

Story
Meet Lil! Lil is a sweet and shy 3 year old Mini Aussie looking for her forever home after overcoming a difficult start to life in a puppy mill. Despite her past, she is house-trained and will use pee pads as she adjusts to new surroundings. Initially timid, Lil warms up to become a devoted cuddler once she feels safe. She thrives with the presence of a confident dog who can help her feel secure. While she tolerates men, she is much more comfortable around women and may take extra time to trust. Lil is also fearful of leashes and harnesses, so she will need a patient owner to gently introduce her to these items. Lil’s ideal home includes a securely fenced yard for her safety and exercise. She would do best with older children who understand her fears and can respect her need for space. Her new family should be patient, understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to blossom into the loving companion she’s meant to be. Currently, Lil is on daily Prozac to help manage her anxiety, and her future family should be prepared to continue supporting her emotional well-being. If you’re ready to provide Lil with the love, patience, and safe environment she deserves, she could become a loyal and loving member of your family. Come meet Lil today and see the sweet companion she’s ready to be! Lil is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $300. Introducing Zeke, a truly remarkable pup whose heartwarming spirit and playful energy are ready to light up a new home. Zeke is a handsome, resilient boy who, through no fault of his own, found himself searching for a new home. He's more than ready to embark on his next chapter, seeking a loving, forever family to call his own. Zeke is a bundle of joyful energy, known for his silliness and ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. While he may start off shy, it doesn't take long for his true personality to shine through. He quickly becomes an enthusiastic playmate who thrives on the company of other dogs and will gleefully encourage them to play. Zeke is a smart and well-mannered companion. He is potty-trained and comfortable in his crate. He also knows basic commands like "sit" and "go to your room," and his eagerness to please makes him a joy to train further. While he’s working on managing his excitement (which sometimes results in enthusiastic leaps!), his good intentions are always clear. Walks are a highlight of his day, offering him a chance to explore and burn off some of that youthful energy. His barks will let you know precisely when he needs to go outside or when he hears you approaching the door. If you’re seeking an active, affectionate, and charming dog who promises boundless love and entertainment, Zeke could be the perfect addition to your home. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Hi, my name is Olive. I’m the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. I love hugs. Like, put my arms around your neck and HUG you. I am super smart and have already learned to potty outside, sit, “kennel up” and much more. My foster mom has 2 kids, another dog and a cat. I’m so good with all of them although I don’t understand why the cat doesn’t want hugs. I’m trying hard to win her over though. Treats and naps are my favorite thing in the whole world. I started off life with my foster mom very skinny and I’m doing my best to fatten up a bit. I’m so excited to find my forever home. I’ll be your best friend! Local Only adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Meet Boggen – A Survivor with a Gentle Soul   Boggen is an 11&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old Aussie mix with a story that tugs at the heart. Adopted as a young dog from SAAP, life took a few unexpected turns for this resilient guy. When his family left the country, Boggen was left behind at a shelter in Virginia. He was adopted again and spent the last five years in what he hoped was his forever home — until he found himself returned to a shelter once more just last week.   Despite all of that, Boggen has not lost his spark.   This handsome senior still has plenty of life left in him and is looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally settle in and stay. He enjoys companionship, routine, and the simple joys of being near his people. Boggen would love a home where he can enjoy leisurely walks, cozy naps, enjoy his stuffies and toys, and the comfort of knowing he won’t be left behind again.   &#226&#156&#133 Senior dog with a lot of heart &#226&#156&#133 Sweet, loyal, and ready to bond &#226&#156&#133 Best as the only pet – no cats or small animals &#226&#156&#133 Looking for a peaceful place to spend his golden years   Boggen doesn’t ask for much — just stability, kindness, and a family willing to give him the forever he has always deserved. If you have room in your heart and home for a loyal companion who will truly appreciate it, Boggen may be the perfect match.   Let’s make sure his next chapter is his last — and his best.  Looking for a foster or adopter!March 16, 2026, 8:29 pm

Story
Nova is a sweetheart. I got him as a tiny puppy. Unfortunately he came to us with resource guarding issues, primarily with food and space (especially when he is laying down). He still struggles with these issues, just not quite as bad. After my eldest dog (the alpha) passed away, my middle dog fell into a bad deep depression. During this time, Nova began to attack my middle dog. This was a surprise as they used to play and cuddle 24/7. I was told this just happens sometimes when a younger dog will attack a sick older dog to "claim alpha". He has never bitten another dog, although we were very careful to not get him too close to other dogs. I would say no other dogs would be the best for him. We have never had him around any other animals. Hes great with people and older kids. He is a bit uneasy with young kids. We have a young child and I am just very nervous due to his history and he just isnt getting the life he deserves anymore. He is a cuddle bug lover. He deserves the BEST home!

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Kaylee 🐾 Kaylee may be tiny, but don’t tell her that — she’s absolutely convinced she runs the world. This 10-week-old Border Collie × Australian Cattle Dog mix is bursting with confidence, brains, and pure puppy sparkle. She’s bold, outgoing, and always the first to dive into whatever adventure is happening. New toy? Hers. New sound? Investigating. Siblings napping? Time to wake them up and party. She’s got that classic cattle dog grit paired with border collie smarts, which means she’s quick to learn, highly observant, and already showing signs of being one clever little problem solver. She’s playful, energetic, and endlessly entertaining — equal parts athlete and comedian. Kaylee is wonderfully social and full of personality, with just the right amount of bossy “supervisor” energy that makes everyone laugh. We expect her to be about 35 lbs full grown — the perfect size for hiking, training, road trips, or an active lifestyle. Because of her working-breed mix, she’ll thrive in a home ready to keep her mind and body busy with training, games, and lots of engagement. In return, you’ll get the most loyal, fun-loving sidekick you could ask for. If you’re ready for a smart, spunky best friend who will keep life exciting, Kaylee is your girl. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this deserving girl the forever home she’s been waiting for 💛🐾

Story
Meet Pip! Pip is a handsome three-year-old, 60-pound boy who was rescued from a high-intake rural shelter and is now settling into foster care. While he’s still new to his foster home, he has already shown what a sweet and affectionate dog he is. Pip has been doing well going to the restroom outside and enjoys exploring a fenced yard. He will also walk on a leash as his foster family continues learning his routine and helping him settle into a new schedule. At the shelter, Pip did amazing in playgroups and showed he is social and comfortable with dogs of all sizes. In foster care, he has also done well meeting both a fellow foster Boxer and the resident Jack Russell. Like many dogs coming from a shelter environment, Pip may need a day or two to settle into a new home and learn the routine. Giving him a little time to decompress, keeping a consistent schedule, and offering gentle reassurance will help him feel comfortable. Once he settles in, his affectionate and goofy personality really shines. Pip absolutely loves being close to his people. He’ll happily curl up beside you for pets, gently rest his head on your shoulder, and is very generous with sweet kisses. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just wants to be near you, Pip may be your perfect match. Pip is ready to leave shelter life behind and start his next chapter with a family of his own. Pip tested positive for Lyme disease. He is currently healthy and receiving any necessary care under the guidance of his veterinarian. Being Lyme positive doesn’t stop him from enjoying walks, playtime, or cuddles—he can live a full, happy life with proper care. Pip is currently fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. His adoption fee is $275.00.
