Story
Murphy came in with his brother Mack. Both are sweet, loving, mid- to high-energy boys. Murphy started out more independent than his brother and still probably is a bit, but he also seeks out attention from time to time and can be very affectionate. Murphy looks more like pure Aussie than his brother, but he may still be mixed. We'd love Murphy and Mack to be adopted together. They are bonded and thrive in each other's company and the company of other dogs. A physically fenced yard is required. Murphy is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
Mack came in with his brother Murphy. Both are sweet, loving, mid- to high-energy boys. Mack has been just about the sweetest boy ever from moment one—extremely affectionate and just loves giving you big Mack hugs. He loves when you let him be a Velcro dog, but don’t get the wrong idea—when you need your own space, he is very good about not being pushy about it. Mack’s brother Murphy looks more like pure Aussie, but we’re pretty sure that’s Mack’s mix as well. We'd love Mack and Murphy to be adopted together. Story
ABOUT ME: Hi! My name’s Calvin and I like to think of myself as the life of the party. I was surrendered to COPAW as I was too much for my previous owner to manage (apartment living is not the best environment for an energetic guy like me). I am a happy, social boy once I get to know you and my foster mom says that my tail wags “a million miles a minute.” I love toys, especially bones and anything that I can tear the stuffing out of. I am a little shy at first and will bark at you but once you feed me a few treats, we will be lifelong besties (ask my foster mom!). I love to play with the other dogs in the house. We especially love the game of chase. My mom keeps telling me that with the proper training and someone who understands Aussies and other herding breeds like me, I would make a great running and hiking companion. My favorite thing though is to curl up with my humans after some fun play time. I AM GREAT WITH: People and other dogs (both big and small). I love my two legged foster brothers. However, due to my energetic nature, I might be too much for really small kids. I know sit and am good at walking on a leash. I am okay with a crate and am used to sleeping in it. I am very proud to tell everyone, I am completely potty trained! Yes, you read that right. Isn't that awesome? I AM STILL WORKING ON: My manners. I like to counter surf which makes everything at eye level fair game. My foster mom is also helping me learn not to jump on everyone when I get super excited and to come when called. I know my name but sometimes practice the art of selective hearing when she is calling me for. I AM NOT GOOD WITH: Cats! My foster family has one and boy does he get on my nerves. I am also a little nervous about being touched around the neck as I was trained using a shock collar. I am getting better with reassurance from the humans. While I am good at walking on a leash, I will need some help at not barking at everyone I see. I REQUIRE: ◦ Someone familiar with Aussies or other herding breeds ◦ Fenced-in yard, as I like to run around ◦ No shared walls, as I like to talk sometimes (apartments, townhomes) ◦ No cats ◦ An active person or family would be wonderful **All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. Booster shots are included in the adoption fee and will be performed at our clinic, or the adopter can use their own vet at their expense. Adopters must reside within 2 hours of Columbus, OH. No transportation assistance is available.**

Story
Milo is a sweet and gentle Australian German Shepherd mix who is, unfortunately due to my family and I’s busy schedules, are looking for a new home where he can receive lots of love, attention, and a bit of an adventure. Born on January 25, 2023, he is shy and can be easily frightened, preferring the comfort of cuddles and companionship. Milo is house-trained, knows basic commands, and loves to snuggle. He does experience separation anxiety, so he would do best with someone who can spend plenty of time helping him get through it. If you’re looking for a playful and affectionate furry friend, Milo would make a wonderful companion. I would like to inform you that my family and I have tried to see if there are other options before deciding to rehome Milo, so please try to understand us. Thanks :)

Story
Apollo is a blue and tan merle Australian Shepherd. I adopted him about a month ago from a shelter, and though I cannot continue to care for him, I wanted to place him with a loving owner that is a good fit for him instead of returning him to the shelter. Apollo is sweet, loves to cuddle, has tons of energy, and may or may not be fully grown (he is 41 pounds now, about 12 months old they think, and may gain another 10 pounds in the next 4 months). He is incredibly intelligent and loves praise, treats, and food. He wants to be close to you all the time, as they say, Aussies are velcro dogs. Now here is where the incompatibility is. I absolutely adore Apollo. However, he needs a lot of space to run, ideally a home with other dogs around his age, as he loves to play with dogs, and time. I just started a second job that keeps me out of the house and too busy to give him what he needs. Because of this he has begun having behavioral issues, mouthing, nipping, and barking.
