Poor Oakley has had a whole lot of bad luck in his life. He was found as a stray, but not before being hit by a car. He ended up with a fractured femur. He was picked up by Animal contro and sat in a Cell for a while before being put on the euthanasia list. We couldn’t stand to see this handsome, young guy lose his life without ever knowing how wonderful life and even humans could be, so we tagged him and brought him to Ohio to have surgery on his leg. Sadly, the first orthopedic surgeon we saw Said the break was so severe, added with the amount of time that had passed since the accident, we would need to amputate. We decided to week a second opinion and this time the doctor believed he could fix it. So we went forward with the surgery. He is 10 weeks post surgery and doing very well. He needs an adopter who will take their time with him for a short while as he continues his journey to complete healing. Oakley is working on his housetraining and does very well, but hasn’t totally mastered it yet.

Hi! Legend here! Yes, I have GORGEOUS BLUE EYES!!!I am a super friendly 3-4 year old male Australian Shepherd /Collie/ mix (they think;) that weighs 43 pounds. I do have rather longish fluffy fur so regular grooming will keep me looking my best. I have good basic manners and I do know sit and take treats very gently. I love to lean against my human when I sit next to them. I did great in the car on the way to the shelter and I walk well on the leash! I attended a few adoption events iand did very well with the other dogs in attendance. I even played with a pup who caught my interest. I interacted well with human visitors too. Liza is very energetic and would love a home with room to run. If you have cattle I think she has the instinct to herd and would be happy helping around a farm. She loves to chase squirrels and rabbits. She loves all other dogs. She’s very friendly. And she loves to cuddle on the couch and in bed. DOB 12/8/22. One parent was a full blooded Australian Shepherd and the other full blooded border collie.
