He loves to play fetch (especially if the ball has a squeaker!) and tug of war. He’s loves his daily naps but when it’s play time or treats are involved he’ll get the excited shakes. He’s extremely smart and loves to learn new tricks and games. He is great with kids of all ages and is a perfect walker on a leash. He's really an easy and super chill guy! He’s good with other dogs with gentle and gradual introductions. Approximate Birthdate: Apr 2017 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial . Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds. We show our dogs by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting Merlin, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org. Merlin's adoption fee is $350. Please read bio before applying! Meet Merlin. This young man has had a rough go of it at just 9 months old. Merlin came to us as a commercial breeder release and when we got him at 6 months old, he had never been handled by humans. As a result, he is very distrusting of humans and requires a lot of patience and time to adjust to new people. Becuase of this, we would really like to find a well-equipped foster who can help him learn how to be a house pet, so he can find his furever home. Merlin is very dog friendly and because he is more comfortable with dogs than humans, we are requiring that he go to a home with at least one other canine. This will help set him up for success. He will also need a home with a secure fenced in yard, as he can be a bit of a flight risk, and he will need a home with no small children.
