Little Jackson came from a divorce situation where he and his 31 friends and his human were living in a uhaul. She reached out for help and help we did. He is a bit of a tuff guy. Not a fan of other dogs unless female. He is undersocial and would love a quiet home. ##2683400##

Story
Meet Fable: Your New Favorite Story!  Looking for a dog who is equal parts "action-adventure" and "cozy bedtime story"? Meet Fable, a one-of-a-kind pup with a personality that’s even bigger than her incredibly fuzzy ears! Fable is the ultimate "best of both worlds" companion. She has a high-energy engine that makes her the perfect partner for backyard games and playtime, but once she’s zoomed her heart out, she transforms into a world-class snuggler. If there’s a lap available, Fable will find it! Why We’re Obsessed With Her: • The Best Ears in the Business: Seriously, they are soft, fuzzy, and impossible not to pet. • A Total Social Butterfly: Fable is a professional friend-maker. She currently lives with foster sisters (both the furry and human variety!) and absolutely loves playing with her pack. • Smart & Studious: She’s already mastered the "Sit" command and is making huge strides with her potty training. She’s a quick learner who is eager to please. • Funny & Fun: Whether she’s doing a goofy "zoomie" or making a hilarious face, Fable keeps her foster family laughing every single day. Fable’s Perfect Match: Fable would thrive in a home that can keep up with her playful spirit but also has plenty of blankets for cuddle time. Since she loves her foster sisters so much, she’d likely enjoy having a playmate or a family who can give her lots of engagement. Ready to start a new chapter with this sweet girl? Fable is waiting to meet you!   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Jax is a 4 year old Australian Sheppard and gorgeous to boot.  He was an owner surrender being no fault of his own.  Jax is high energy and his owner did not think they could give Jax what he needed to become a better dog.       Jax does great with other dogs (presides in a house with 2 other dogs).  He does very well with the neighboring children and also lived with children in his previous home.     Jax has alot of energy.  He does great in the backyard with fetching and running around with my other foster dog.  He also thinks he is the Tug of War champ of the house and would bring the rope to you to try and prove it.      He is crate trained and potty trained (will tell me when he wants to go outside).  He is a smart dog that does need some more training  He does know simple commands like sit, paw, and lay.  But he does lose focus when a treat is involved.     Jax has been a great dog for me and will definitely be a great dog for his future owner.    If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Jax’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. Story
Hi, I'm Evie! I'm a 1.5 year old girl that's the perfect size, sitting at just 40 lbs! I'm a great girl and get along well with everyone. I'm currently in a foster home and they say I'm just the sweetest. I do good at home and seem to be potty-trained when kept on a good schedule. I'm waiting for that perfect home just for me. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2681290##

Story
If your ideal weekend involves hiking trails, playing fetch, or just staying on the move, Rockey is ready to lace up his sneakers and join you! True to his name, Rockey has a "rock-solid" spirit and enough energy to keep the fun going all day long. He’s a very sweet athlete who hasn't met a mountain he couldn't climb or a toy he couldn't chase. But the best part about Rockey? Once the sun goes down and the energy is spent, he transforms into a world-class snuggler. He’s looking for a home that can keep up with his pace and match his huge heart. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment.
