Yozuri and her sister Yamaha were found when their foster parents were on a walk. The sisters came trotting out of the woods where they had been living in a cardboard box. They were vetted and fostered and adopted to a home. Due to unforeseen circumstances that were not at all of her making, Yozuri finds herself back in the care of Save a Stray once again hoping for a forever home. Yozuri is just happy about life. She is housetrained and crate trained. She gets along with everyone, loves toys, and playing fetch. Yozuri is smart, comes when called, and gives attention easily. She is a playful girl but also loves to snuggle. She is a delight to have around. This girl deserves a home to treat her like a princess. If Yozuri sounds like the one for you and your lifestyle, please read info below regarding adopting. Complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635. Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Grand Blanc, MI Meet Mocha! He is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 65 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Mocha is hostile around strangers! He is good with other dogs! He hasn’t been tested around younger children. No older children or cats, due to his reactivity! Mocha jumped up and bit 2 teenagers while they were walking by at a campground. One of these instances occurred while he was on leash and the other occurred in a fenced area. Mocha bit the owner’s friend while he was on leash and they walked by. He bit the owner’s husband while he was trying to put Mocha in his kennel. The most recent bite incident occurred when the owner’s dad was working on something in their house. Mocha ran up and bit him on the leg. The owner is surrendering him because of these bite incidents. They also aren’t able to provide the exercise that he needs. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Mocha, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Mocha. Owner’s Contact Information: Sabrina at sabrina1996@sbcglobal.net.

Story
Julian , is a sweet dog. However the organization he was adopted from the foster family hindered his development at birth. They kept him with his mother and she was food aggressive to her pups. Therefore he is food protective, not aggressive per say. He also was not allowed outside the first 90 days of his life. As a result he has anxiety especially when things change like the weather or conditions. He is overly protective of my wife. He needs a true alpha of a dog owner to make sure it is established who the pack leader is. He doesn't chew up furniture or stuff. He listens well. He is house trained. He will make an experienced dog owner very happy!

Story
very sweet 10 month old, Larger female dog. Potty trained, likes her crate but opened. Sweetie understands basic commands, sit, stay, lay down. just wants to be loved and petted. She does like to play with stuffed animals and a ball. In the process of learning to walk on the left side and not pull the chain. The owner stayed at home most days and took her out in public. The owner left the country. I feel like she would be really good for a person who works remote or an adventurer that likes to walk dogs and stay at home. Also, very good for family with kids probably over eight. she does need to be trained, not to jump on you when she is excited, especially when you first come home. She does relax if your watching tv or likes to watch you do things ie in kitchen etc. I don’t want to put her in a shelter. I’m trying to keep her at my house until I find an owner. Hopefully soon. Up to date on shots but has not been spayed, but does have an appointment on 23 of January 12/Ryan area.

This is a very good dog with high energy! He needs to be in a home with a yard and a lot of exercise. He loves to play with toys and play ball. He loves to play tug of war. He was a crate dog when I took him and hes doing well, but adjusting being out of the crate, but I still put him in the crate when I leave the house. He hasn’t chewed anything up except toys as puppies always do. He does pretty good on a leash. He’s learning to listen well he is just very hyper. We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). Story
This pup is being fostered in Athens TN. Transport to the Great Lakes area and the North East available to your area and if you’re seeing this on adopt a pet the fees for transport are included in the adoption fee! We use Rescue Riders for all our pet transport needs because they are the best! Do you Love Lucy? We love Lucy! This sweet pup found herself on the urgent list at our local city shelter. We are dumbfounded that she was there at our local city shelter for so long and no one came to claim her and no one wanted to adopt her. She is quite an awesome dog! She is smart and loving. She likes to give hugs and kisses. She loves to play with other dogs she would do great in a home with another dog that also loves to play. An active home would be great for her as well. She will need to have physical and mental stimulation in order to love a happy balanced life. She walks ok on leash. Some pulling but not too bad just needs a little twerking on the leash manners. She knows sit and her recall is pretty good. She is crate trained and house trained. Would do best with older children due to her size she would probably knock toddlers down by mistake when playing or loving on them. Please Apply at petpath.org

A GENEROUS DONOR HAS COVERED THIS DOG'S VET COSTS, GIVING YOU A REDUCED ADOPTION FEE! How can you look Selena in those puppy eyes and not fall in love? She has been looking for love in all the wrong places. Somebody dropped her off at a house and the homeowner said if we would not take her, he would just take and dump her off at someone else's place. This is way too good a dog for that nonsense! Selena is such a perfect little lady. She is very sweet and loving. She adores running and playing but she is all for the attention from her human friends. She gets along well with other dogs and loves kids. She would make a wonderful addition to anyone's family. Selena has been fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. She is ready to go to her forever home. Won't you please click on the big black "Ask about ME" button and find out more about her? This girl is currently in TN but the transport to your area is included in your fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
